First down
7. Broncos sign running back Travis Henry: As he proved with Reuben Droughns, Mike Anderson and others, Mike Shanahan can take an unproven back or a converted fullback and turn them into a 1,200-yard runner. His system for running is that good. In acquiring Henry, Shanahan gets a three-time 1,200-yard plus runner who is only 28. With a young quarterback, Jay Cutler, having the luxury of running is important. It takes the pressure off Cutler and gives him easier second and third downs to convert. Henry should work perfectly in the Broncos one-cut, zone blocking scheme.

Funny how Henry is "only 28" but LJ is "already 27."

? He might act like a beast, but run like one? I don't think so. I would bet that Travis Henry will gain more total yards in 2007 than McGahee.

I also dont see what people see in Mcgahee. He talked all this trash about being the best RB in the league, but did he even break 1k last year??

Guess the difference between backs is like the difference between cars: mileage.
In the last 2 years Johnson has 752 rushes (376 avg). We would have to add Henry's last 4 seasons to surpass that total with 783 (195 avg).

Wow. Way to cherry pick. Henry has alot more mileage, unquestionably. We're talking about a full season's worth of carries.

Last time I checked Henry wasn’t going to hold-out till he gets $80,000,000 contract.

What does that even have to do with ANYTHING?
LJ isn't going to hold out. I guarantee it. If LJ holds out I'll leave the Mane forever.

LJ is being used like a $2 whore in a prison yard, doesn't seem to like it where he's playing, and has to worry about his QB possibly being Brady "MASH" Croyle this year. Henry only has to worry about not taking another toke off his bong.

He is a unique player.
I wouldn't be surprised if he suited up and totally tore up the league. I also wouldn't be surprised if he did absolutely nothing and we didn't hear much from him again.

Sooooo...Henry only having 182 carries, only starting 6 games, and missing 12 games total in 2004 and 2005 is a plus? It is much better having an injury prone RB who hasn't been able to keep himself on the field, instead of a young, outstanding RB who might be wore down because he had too many carries in one season

If Bob wasn't a welcher we could pay LJ enough to hold out and write it off as an improvement to THE MANE

Did I say that one was better than the other? No, I didn't. What I did do was try to explain why LJ gets labeled as an "old 27" while Henry gets called a "young 28."
History has shown that when someone carries of 400 times, they tend to not fair so well the next season. Hence the description and the holdout talk from LJ.

Ok, gotta ask - who do you have as 1 and 2? As a Broncos fan, I still can't give them a preseason rank ahead of the Pats or SD but I think I'll put them ahead of the Ravens.
