Could be great depth plus help out at safety. Always did like Kelly.

Denver is so set at CB. I don't think Herndon could beat out Paymah for the dime job. Maybe they could sign him for backup Safety for a year.

Why Bother with our old trash. Too old, crafty but old & slow.

Pick him up and let him compete, see what he has left..
Allthow at 5'10 180 I would say he would be a little light for safety..

He was always a pretty good tackler. He would have to be a safety in passing situations though.

I think Paymah has an overall better skillset,
but just needs more experience..Its up to him to show it in camp..

In dime he'd have a chance, but Paymah has youth on his side +
I think he would be better man up ala Bates system..

i DONT KNOW. He had a great end of the year. Hell, I wanted him over Darrent by the time the season ended. Paymah isnt Hixon material but he will be (ask Zona). I always liked Kelly and he was a big asset in Seattle. If he has something left, why not? If we dont, no big deal.

You're right Paymal really started to play well all of last year. Most of the time you didn't even notice he was on the field. He did a soliud job. He could even push Foxworth this year.

Doesn't make much sense now. I liked him when he was here, but I don't think there's a spot on this team for him at the time.

Good thing you remembered his AZ game before you went bottoms up. !Booya!

If not for the offseason deal to get Bly there would probably be room for him here. Just too many guys ahead of him on the depth chart right now, though.

Granted, he was a solid contributor on the team during his stay here, and I was definitely upset when they let him go and kept Lenny Walls. Let the coaching staff decide, if he can be acquired for cheap and they think he can push Paymah for that last spot, I'm all for it. Doubt that will happen tho.

If the price is right(Under a million), let's do it. He's capable and versatile.

No need from him. There is a reason that Seattle let him go.

He is a good cover guy unlike Lynch or Ferguson... I mean, if he wants to try his hand at safety maybe we should pursue it.

I say give him a shot/ He was a class act and always played hard. He never gave up like the who came in with him (Walls). If Foxworth plays more S then that gives us Bly, Paymah, Bailey, Shoate, Reid, and Hill. He could beat out Shoate Reid and Hill and give us some depth. I will never turn away from depth after last year and how many S's went down.

I think he is still a quality CB. I'm sure he'll get signed by some team more desperate than the Broncos.

If Herndons ankle is ok then he will get quite a few offers to start i think.

Wasn't Herndon our starting corner during those two playoff losses to the Colts?

It might be a good idea to sign him just in cause someone gets hurt.

He was the starting CB... but he sure was no Roc Alexander. Herndon actually had a pick in the 2004 Wild Card game.

The question is, does he really fit into Bates' system and is he better than what we have now?

Maybe 5 years ago but today?

He will be remembered for NOT scoring that touchdown in the Super Bowl.

I liked him when he was here but he cashed in (not that I blame him) and moved on. Once they leave Denver my sentiment drops.

I like our secondary as is, pass.

I really liked Walls.

Kinda weird to think about how bad we were.
