"Kevorkian went to prison after being convicted of second-degree murder in the 1998 death of Thomas Youk, 52, an Oakland County man with Lou Gehrig’s disease. He was given a 10- to 25-year sentence and is getting out after serving more than eight years because of time off for good behavior."

It was disgusting that he was ever incarcerated.

I agree but you have to admit he is kind of ccreepy. It's like he gets off on killing people. If he would have acted differently I don't think he would have gotten the time he did.

Anyone ever see the sitcom "That's My Bush"? They had a very funny episode where GW broke Kevokian out of jail so he could kill his cat... Very funny.

Yeah, on the news the other night they were detailing all the ailments he's suffering from. I guess his lawyers argued for his early release based on his failing health. I notice he's not plugging himself in. ;D

Sad that he was jailed, but if you break the law, there are consequences. Best to try and change the law if you don't agree with it. JMO

If Amare and Diaw had to sit the pine for one game because of Stern's BS rule on leaving the bench, Dr. Killya had to serve time for breaking the law. You better believe it.
I wonder how many people he helped kill while he was inside? :thanku:

It's called a Democracy. What is? Do you mean like the White House trying to overturn Oregon's assisted suicide laws?

What is?
It's where the president declares war whenever he wants. There are two political parties and they spend most of their time bickering back and forth waisting time. It's awsome.

I never got that impression from him. I know some of his opponents in the media tried to demonize him that way and they succeeded. I agree, though, had he projected a softer image and tried to be a politician, he probably would have fared a lot better. Instead, he was this kind of stiff guy with a name full of hard consonants and he was singularly unprepared (and totally uninterested) in becoming part of pop culture. So, they named him Dr Death and he became fodder for Letterman and Leno. I'm sure that nickname played well with the jury.

My guess: Dr K. will move to Oregon where assisted suicide is legal -- so he can practice medicine and and stay out of jail.

Like i said, there was a song written about him and his machine.
Jack Kevorkian sits with his "suicide machine," a device consisting of tubes, hypodermic needles, saline solution, a muscle relaxant, and a lethal drug. All they had to do was pull the trigger.
