What a nice surprise. Just returned from lunch and checked my e-mails. I recieved one from the Broncos inviting me to a cocktail reception, highlight film and chance to meet key people within the organization.
It'll be fun as long as it's not a ploy to get me to buy Club seats. You know, like the freebie offers from timeshares and oceanfront properties which inundate my mail and e-mail!
I hope Pat is there, I'd sure like to talk to him about the "tailgating situation".

I would think not. I already have 9 season tix and you could'nt drag me into the club level. So, they would be wasting their time. But I do have a few great ideas for tailgating I'd like to propose to them and I've never had the opportunity to meet Shanahan in person.
I think it's more of a "thanks for your long time support" kind of "thingy"!

You know you're my "Huckleberry", but you're to damn ugly to be my date, and I wouldn't want people to get the wrong impression.

Funny you should mention this. I just had the biggest let down of the season this afternoon!!
Got an email from the Broncos ticket office! Title says, "2007 Denver Broncos Season Tickets"
Without opening the email my heart lept...I jumped out of my seat and started saying, VERY LOUDLY, "YES, YES, YES!" (I'm at works...it created a little stir). I was convinced that my number had FINALLY come up! I FINALLY made the top of the list and was going to have season tickets in hand. I was so thrilled since I've now found very cheap flights to Denver and going for a game would be VERY inexpensive now. I had it all planned out! Yessiree...I'd paid my dues and could finally be a season ticket holder in the nose bleeds section...and they'd be MINE!
:'( I decided I'd best open up the email to find out exactly where my new found tickets were going to be located! What a shock to find out that they were offering me the club level seats for $2200-$2800 PER SEAT!! WHAT?? I thought to myself? :saywhat: Yup...I'd fallen prey to the same ploy as I did last year. No, my number, in fact, had NOT come up..they just needed to sell more club level seats! Well, my heart was let down yet again! :-[ :'(

Just be patient. My oldest son got on the waiting list about 6-7 years ago, and he got his letter this year.

I got that same e-mail. I considered taking it to my Dad to see if we could swing it, but that's like 10 grand for 2 seats, considering you need a 2 year (at least) commitment.

Is there any way to check where you are on the waiting list from year to year or do you just find out when your # comes up?

Really? I thought it took longer than that. I think my name has been on the list for about 3 years now, for the life of me I can't remember exactly when I did it.

My father in law has 4 club level seats. when they aren't going to clients my wife and I get a few. He bought them during the playoff run to the AFC Championship so they hooked him up with club seats. I got to see all the playoff games. The United concourse is crazy nice. And you always see notable Denver citizens. I saw coach Hawkins a few times in there.

Yeah I sent them an email... and got this back:
Your name should be coming up on the waiting list in the next couple of weeks. You can expect to receive an offer in the mail within the next few weeks. To make sure the offer is delivered, please make sure your contact information is up to date. You can do this online at www.denverbroncos.com through the account manager.
I'm holding my breath that it's not an offer for club seats... but I've been on the list for about 8 yrs.

That's cool. It's not that I would wnat to take that offer...but, to me, there is nothing like being in the stands surrounded by a bunch of crazy screaming rabid fans. I fit in very well with that description! ;D
Needless to say, it's not like I've ever had problems getting tickets, but $2800 a seat is rediculous, IMO.

Just returned from the reception at Dove Valley. I must say the Broncos are as always a 1st class organization. Well planned, well staffed, great catering service, a great tour of the facilities and an awesome highlight film which just gets my blood boiling for some FOOTBALL!

Did you tell Pat to bring back $1.00 beers? Out of curiosity when was the last season you could buy a dollar beer at Mile High?

I like chatting with Stormin Norman when I see him around to ask him stuff like that. For those of you who don't know him by the name he's the dude that wears the big blue sunglasses and is considred to be the first Broncos fan to put on crazy orange hair and what not. Anyhow he told me stories about getting into Broncos game for like $4.00 and even getting into some of them for free. Ah the good ole days....
My first game was 82 also CBF1 but mom wouldn't buy me a beer back then.

I was able to voice my opinion about some of the "12th man issues" I have and I tried to suggest some changes to the tailgating space allotments near the stadium. Don't know how far it will go, but we'll see.
How can I resize photos I took last night? They are currently over 2mb's.
and the attachment limit appears to be 197kb.
