View Full Version : To the Broncos AV Dept: Please play Jet's "Stand up" after TD's

I have only been to one game a year at MH since 95 due to living in IL.
Not sure if there is a specific song they drop over loudspeakers after a big play but I would like to petition the AV guy at Mile High to check out Jet's song "Stand up" for playing after big plays or situations. They may be playing it already but not sure I heard it at the 49er game last year.
If you care it is off the Album "Shine on"
This part would be awesome to hear after Cutler leads a masterful drive:
It's easy to feel that free
When you know what you want to be
How they gonna stop you now?
Never gonna stop you now.
I said stand up, don’t sit back down
I said stand up, don’t sit back down
They got the mouth, we got the soul
Come on now honey, will you let it roll?
You got the move, don’t hang around
Come on honey your living now
This chorus is good also:
It's easy to feel that free
When you know what you want to be
Stand up, your time has come back around
Stand up, there's nothing holding you down
Walk on, with your feet off the ground
How they gonna stop you now?
How they gonna stop you now?
Anyone have any other drops that would rock other than typical Hell's Bell's drops we have heard for last 25 years?

Or at least a rule addressing the use of the phrase "big play" and "49ers game (2007)??

No we need them to rock something totally different. I suggest we ask them to rock Joe Esposito's "You're the Best" made famous in the Karate Kid when Ralph Machio is doing his training montage. Just look at these lyrics:
You’re the best!
Around!
Nothing’s gonna ever keep you down
You’re the Best!
Around!
Nothing’s gonna ever keep you down
You’re the Best!
Around!
Nothing’s gonna ever keep you dow-ow-ow-ho-how-ho-own
INSPIRING GUITAR SOLO
You’re the best!
Around!
Nothing’s gonna ever keep you down
You’re the Best!
Around!
Nothing’s gonna ever keep you down
You’re the Best!
Around!
Nothing’s gonna ever keep you dow-ow-ow-ow-own
Fight ‘til you drop
never stop
can’t give up
Til you reach the top (FIGHT!)
you’re the best in town (FIGHT!)
Listen to that sound
A little bit of all you got
Can never bring you down
You’re the best!
Around!
Nothing’s gonna ever keep you down
You’re the Best!
Around!
repeat to fade, occasional background shouts of “Oh Ye-eah!”
You can't beat this!

Yeah but does it have this:
repeat to fade, occasional background shouts of “Oh Ye-eah!”
Nothing shoes emotion like a repeat to fade coupled with shouts of OH Ye-eah.
But if that doesn't do it for you we can fast forward a little and hit up some Peter Cetera - Glory of Love. This made famous by the blockbuster Karate Kid II.
Yeah its a little slow but it shows a more raw emotional side to the Broncos.

Deathsicle's uncompleted song:
"Lick my Deathsicle" featured pelvis thrusts & Oh-Yeahs prominently but was scrapped in production due to obvious Beatles/Lucien Berio/Led-Zepp/Karlheinze Stockhousen riffs that is relied on.

Last year they played Thunderstruck (AC/DC) after the Broncos scored and Thunder the horse made his trot down the field. "You've been thunder struck". I thought it was fitting.

Damnit you CANNOT go wrong with Enter Sandman after big plays. Keep it with Thunderstruck after scores cuz like crusher said it fits.
That song suggested by the threadstarter sucks about as bad as that stupid "Go...Broncos" showtune they played at the start of the year. Thank God they changed it to Thunderstruck.
They need to go back to We Will Rock You when on defense, that stupid "We must protect this house" crap is crap.
Damn I wish I was in charge of what they played in certain situations, Id have the Phram rockin.

"You get a line; I'll get a pole, honey.
You get a line; I'll get a pole, babe.
You get a line and I'll get a pole;
We'll meet down at that crawdad hole.
Honey, baby mine."

No....if we are going to use the term Rocket for Cutler...it has to be with the song Rocket from Def Leppard!
"White light, strange city, mad music all around
Midnight street magic crazy people crazy sound
Jack flash, rocket man, sgt. Pepper and the band
Ziggy, benny and the jets, take a rocket
We just gotta fly "
As far as big plays are concerned....I'll have to think on that one!

Everyone uses Thunderstruck. I love AC/DC & have High Voltage in my Car CD Player now. But White Sox use it to open their games & it is an old song. Use something more current is all I was hoping to accomplish.

Deathsicle may be what carries us to training camp. Just maybe this sick twisted creation can offer us some sort of entertainment that will wear down the long hours of the day in which no news or old news is the only thing to be had.
Just maybe we can all rise up and in one voice as a people clad in orange and blue scream out the name "DEATHsicle" and the world will hear our cry and listen for once and all to the poetic beuty that is DEATHsicle.
Just maybe.

Hilarious! The ending is the best. Is DEATHsicle just you, a guitar and a synthesizer?
Just me, I mean DEATHsicle, Cakewalk Sonar Pro, the cheapest Electric I have and my old Line 6 Amp simulator & old Roland R-8 drum machine.
DEATHsicle spent a hole 60 min on outline of song, one hour tracking, DEATHsicle had a swolen Ring finger from a 12" softball liner that almost took off DEATHsicles head while pitching the night before so it hurt to do the solo's.
DEATHsicle spent another 30 on "Solo" track, then another 45 min to export to MP3 & upload.
Now I know how the Beatles felt pretending to be St. Pepper as it is liberating. DEATHsicle has not knocked out an outline of a song like that in years. I, I mean DEATHsicle will have to add the words & finish this just because it is a total blast!
Since you liked the end the best maybe DEATHsicle will just play the end part OVER & OVER.
KEEP ON ROCKING!
