Thanks to all the women who have made our existence possible. You are wonderful people. Enjoys yourselves and the day as we remember our mothers and grandmothers for what they've done for us - even if we didn't quite understand it at the time. Ha!

Thanks, guys! I'm trying to not hate Mother's day as much as I did last year. Had a surprising Mother's day wish to wake me up this morning (made me smile) and I'm getting ready to have lunch with my daughter! Oh, and I got my 7 mile run in this morning, too! ;D It's turning out to be a very pleasant day!! :sunshine:

Same here, called my mom and shes kinda of sad, her car broke down and she has to travel.

Thanks for the wishes, it's been a strange day. Had a good day with Hayden, toing to church, flying kites, and quite proud of myself....I figured out how to use the power washer ;D so I've spent last 2 hours power washing things.....why because I made it go all by myself .... I so rock!!

two flats (beer boxes if you will) of colorful flowers....a lady friend and I will go and help her plant them next weekend...she likes a pretty yard

Hmmmm... I was just wondering. Everyone seems okay with Mother's Day but some of our boys here get pretty pissy about the "invented" holiday Valentine's Day.
Guess we'll leave it to Freud...

It's real simple. Moms deserve all the recognition in the world (and certainly one special day) for giving birth to us and hopefully raising us right. You can't compare that with a holiday where people go out of their way to buy chocolates, flowers, etc., for someone they may have just met a year or two (or several) ago. I hope all the moms had a great day...
