View Full Version : If a nuke went off would you blame everyone besides the folks who pushed the button?
Regarding various conspiracy theories, I think that ANY historical event from now on will be twisted by those who hate America to reflect their perception of how “evil we are,” and how were some how deserving of what happened on 911. If we were hit by another terrorist event, or even a nuke (something big) would not hear it right way, but after people slithered out from under their rocks, they would start to suggest that it was Bush’s’ fault or Christians, or the political right (anyone other than the pacifiers) as they dare to provoke the Arab world. Pacify, pacify, bend-over, bow down -- that is the key to survive among those who want to destroy you. Don’t publish a defamatory cartoon, ignore hundreds of cars burning on Frances streets, ignore the reason behind the Salt Lake City shooting, let them get The bomb. We allow ourselves to be divided and defined by political party while the sparks that ignite Rome fly. We get entertained by the distractions of Paris Hilton, and the dead blond big-boobed chick (I don’t want to remember her name.) Those that cannot bring themselves to label evil as evil cannot comprehend why we can’t talk ourselves out of this current conflict with the extremist Muslim world. When they slit the throats of the infidel and post it on the Internet just ignore these things because it “doesn’t fit” your world view. Freaking intellectual dishonesty and political correctness will kill more Americans on our soil.

Dont have gun, but yeah I am ok with being extreeme in this area. I am concerned with very real difficulties of even seeing real threats, and the reporting of these events by main stream media -- who are just as extreem in trying to ignore and cover up real events. Fort Dix, Salt lake, kids getting run over by a car a few months ago these are real events, what degree do we go to deal with it -- I am not sure, but seeing that that there is an enemy who hates the West because of idological and religous reasons is one place to start. The border will never be closed down, we will not act in ways that offer common sense solutions, if there is too much political correctness and an inability to suggest that there is evil in the world.

I'd find out the prevailing winds forecast (ie..if it is Easterly, travel N or S in as rapid manner as possible. If roads clogged don't go anywhere and hunker down in the house), gather as much clean water, gas and canned food that I could and get the hell out of there if I could. Staying anywhere near a major fallout area for the first 12 hours is most likely certian death. Give it three days or more , out of the radioactive fallout area and you have a shot. If stuck in the house, lock it up tight, gather water, food , head for the basement, secure soundly all windows and air access into the house as much as possible. Surround yourself with as much material as possible as far away from basement walls as possible. Wait for at least 3 days or more, again you may have a shot. Oh yeah, a radio and a TV(if able, not solid bets there). In any case, actions during the first two hours or so are imperative, if not on the road by then, you'll probably never get out of a large enough city so might as well sit tight....dman
*After all that, then I'd worry about what the hell happened. If you have potassium iodide tablets, your chances of exposure to the radioactive fallout increase. However, don't take until the fallout is near approaching.

There have always been doomsday folks of every generation that spend thier whole life worring about what may come, then die having never lived. I see the storm, but dont know if it will come next month, or ten years from now, but yes I think it will come in some form. So you prepair what you can temporally and spiritually and let the chips fall. To me the events seem to unfold and I feel like we are collectively sleepwalking, rather than seeing a real threat and dealing with it -- its like the 2 year old that closes thier eyes and thinks that the world disapears behind thier hands. But yeah, I hear you I got some great young kids, great wife, good job that has purpose, so I have not cracked out the literal sign saying the end is coming Repent! Just the electronic version, that is dismissed easily, and buried on a football website.

i think i see the point though. at what point do we quit slinging poo at each other and actually start holding assholes accountable? i think americans spend more time trying to figure out how to appease people that hate us rather just let them hate us and deal with it how weve dealt with it forever. i am a firm believer in peace through superior firepower however
if i have to hear another person tell me we need to understand why assholes hate us, i might harvest his/her soul. i dont think we do at all, i think we need to understand how to find the assholes and how to **** his world up, and thats it.
but then again, that thought process may be what got us where were at. it seems to work though.

the problem is that you and i could learn and intervene, but the vast minority would just intervene and cry civil rights every 10 minutes. something ive learned recently is that its far easier to complain about something and blame someone rather than to just fix it.
just so everyone knows, i refer to terrorists as assholes and nothing else. in fact, can the mods make it so that when i type terrorist, it puts asshole instead? wheni teach anti terrorism, the class loves it when i refer to them as asshole instead of insurgent/terrorist/radical. why cant the news call them that to?
How awesome would that be "Today in NY, the police arrested 3 assholes planning an attack on the subway, for more on this story, we go to Dick Handler in New York" "Thats right Jim, were still getting more details, but right now we know that 3 suspected assholes are being detained at the federal building for conspiring to attack the subway."
awesome. if i ever become president, thats what ill make happen.

You can only take the data that you are given and create an opinion based on it. All polls point to a low approval rating for the president. Again if you wish to discredit these polls then you are just closing your eyes. Are they 100% accurate? No but they do give a good presentation of how people feel about this president. If you don't like them, then how about the massive protests that go on in other countries everytime Bush steps foot on their soil?Or the massive increase in terrorism as reported by the pentagon?turn a blind eye if you wish, you are simply letting yourself and your country down.

i prefer to call it "broadening my horizons" as opposed to turing a blind eye.
exactly, ive taken every single piece of data and typically i discount it as politically driven garbage riddled with select facts(no matter what the claim is, repub/dem/whatever), especially when it comes from sources that are clearly biased. but thats me.
as far as letting myself or my country down, i beg to differ. if anything, letting my country down is simply sitting here and calling everyone names and blaming everyone for everything.
as far what the pentagon is reporting, its fairly accurate to a point. you see dickheads that report dont take the whole story typically, they take **** out of context, listen to what they feel is a better sell and throw it out there, then outlets take it, spin it, and use it to sway a person one way or another.
ive spent the last 5 years off and on in the assholes backyard, in theirmind, and desperately trying to get into their plans, and have no reason to believe that assholeism is any more rampant now than it ever has.
i refuse to be swayed by anyone. i have no political ties what so ever. in fact i find them to be silly and a waste of time.
if that makes me blind and ignorant and letting my country down, hell nobodys perfect
