Anyone know where a good sandwich place that is open at 1 AM? I could go for some cold cuts. Nothing too heavy at late night. Maybe some pastrami later this week. Sourdough. Mmmmmm.

Chuck Norris is dead!!

That is just a downright fabrication! You question The Chuck? I would expect a devastating roundhouse to the throat at any second.

all that back hair was slowing him down.

The Chuck's back and chest hair are what dermatologists used to derive monoxodil from. If it were safer to handle in the lab, we would have been able to cure male pattern baldness by now.

Chuck Norris doesn't go hunting, that connotates chance and thus failure. No, Chuck goes Killing.

What makes a better Rueben? Pastrami or Corned Beef?

I think they are fairly similar Tred. I think Patrami has a little more spice and maybe other odd ingredients. Corned beef is more expensive I believe.

So I have to do something for a Friday Night Diner type thing. Usually pretty simple stuff as people are playing cards, etc.

I was thinking Fried Chicken/ Potato Salad as something different. We've had plenty of Mexican nights, pizza etc.

I would do the Ruebens but I think keeping them warm would be a pain as people eat at all different times during the evening.

Any other suggestions?

If you like grilling, you might look up a recipe for Beef Sates. You'll see these at weddings sometimes on a skewer. I haven't actually made them myself, but they're on my grilling "to do" list for this next couple of weeks... They look faily easy, and yes, delicious. :)

I think Dirk is grilling brats. Maybe heating up a little sauerkraut. Side dish of schnitzel. Perhaps a little struesel baking. Hey! Maybe he's have Chuck over for dinner!

Well I take two juicy steakes, cut to your liking, and take brown sugar and rub it into the meat (insert joke now). Then I take some onion and garlic salt and sprinkle it over the steaks. Place them in a large tupperware container and put some worchershershiresheishier sauce and a tad of BBQ and leave it overnight. Then the next day grill to your liking. It usually comes out nice and sweet with just enough bite.

Fried chicken is greasy and will mark up the cards. Go with sandwiches or food that you use a toothpick like meatballs. I am jonesing for a pastrami right now but too much fat calories this late isnt good. I wish i was in college again.
