Guys, in the last month we had the destruction of Holly Colorado, 70 miles from me, and now last night in Greensburg Kansas once again 70 miles from me half the town was again wiped out. I have tried all morning to get ahold of friends and business associates with no luck. I know that most of you spend 90% of your time proving there is no god, but please take a moment today and pray for these people. Maybe coming from non-believers it will work a miracle.
I talked to a retired farmer about 2 months ago about the weather. He told me when it snows like it did that means were in a drought breaker. He stated when you have a drought breaker you have very bad storms all the way through August. Turns out the old farmer was right, we have had record moisture, and as of today 2 towns destroyed.

Storm Chaser said it was 1/2 mile to 3/4 miles wide, moving very slow with at least 2-3 other tornados around the big one. The kansas dot had to be called to get all the dead cows off of the highway. I hope guys like you spide that were truckin were able to get to safety.

Be glad you didn't move to Dodge City, you would be loosing your job to a illegal truck driver!! You know I have seen over 25 in my life from the front yard or driving, but have never taken a direct hit( Knock on wood). The best part of the people out here, as you seen in holly, we wont ask for government help, the'll strap on the boots and start picking up and rebiulding on their own. Too much pride out here to take handouts.

I have seen a few , 4 or 5 I think , I tried to out run one in Oakly Kansas , the highway patrol was not amused .....they made us park at the truck stop in Oakly there , and seek shelter inside and stay away from windows ....... they opened up doors I guess that was to stop pressure for the winds building up on the outside of the building ...... Idont know if the tornado touched down or not but that was the closest I have been to being caught in one .. 1 minor earthquake a few years back in Victorville Calif , Blizzards , sandstorms , Rain so heavy you couldnt see , 1 fire that was last year on the southside of Casper mountain and 1 flood , Nebraska Back in the 90'S big chuck of Ice smacks a bridge outside of Omaha , backs water up ......... but the worst ,Ì was standing in my front yard near a fence post and lightning struck it while I was standing there ........ that shook me up ;D

Heavy rain probally the most dangerous on the road, since the city guys still hall ass instead of slowing down. The lightning deal is the worst, it just happens and your pretty much SOL. Did it stand the hair up on your head and arms? My grandpa told me that when he drove the open cab tractors back in the day, and lightning would strike close, it would stand up his private, told me it was a good gage on how close the strike was by the size

Man , every hair on my body stood up , the static electricity was damn strong ...... I was blinded by the flash for almost a minute , so I was standing there completely helpless , but yeah i hate rain , people dont check the air pressure in their tires , hydroplaning all over the place .......

Saw this on the news tonight. Just tragic. Incredibly powerful. I was two blocks from the one that hit SLC 6 1/2 years ago and thought that was awful. Cannot imagine going through the one in KC. My prayers go out to the people there and particularly the rescuers.
Just heard they had to call of any rescues because of the weather. How awful.
