ok as I understand it someone posted a code that gets around the digital rights management of the hd-dvd format on digg. kevin rose(the owner) then deletes it, then all hell breaks loose and the entire website is spammed endlessly with this number. the code has been out I guess since february.
but the interesting part about digg and the number is that digg actually ENDORSED the spreading of the number. seemingly opening itself up for massive litigation.
and then of course all the anarchists come in and scream at the "greedy" corporations. quite entertaining all around.
