As some of you may know I'm a bit of a car collector. Just picked this one up last night. '72, 454, 4 speed coupe. Pretty good condition overall, and the engine dyno'ed out a hair over 450 RWHP. Not a show car, but a nice driver that flat out hauls.

The color is nice, but (no offense) the model looks kind of old. The seller may have just put a new coat of paint on the car to make it look new.

Looks like she's got a bumped nose. heh. That's easily fixed. Other than that, it's primo. Cars turned incredibly ugly in 73 with the mandated bumpers.

If yellow is the original color, it's fine. That's a classic color. BTW, yellow cars have the fewest wrecks, red the most. looks like a 67-72. I call it the golden age. Obviously a big block. Big blocks rule.

I had two gold cutlasses, one had white velour interior to boot. Creampuff I destroyed. Had a 69 Lemans with a short block 400 a friend sideswiped that was so strong that it went onto the track late in life.

Split window Coupe '63 is my fav. 57 is a sweet ride too.
On a sad note, my 2001 Corolla with 217k miles just blew a rod in the engine. Hybrid city here i come or another Corolla. You might like paying $4 a gallon but I am spending over $450 a month.

You must of been negligent or had a defective Toyota. I've never broken one, ever. I'm kidding. If you don't eventually change the timing gear, it will drop a valve and all hell breaks loose.

Looks like a grocery getter...your obviously a family man. Mid life crisis?

I didn't notice that the Vette was a 72 or 454 but I was in the era of that model and didn't know if it was a 427 or 454. The thing about those big blocks is that besides HP, they produce sick torque.

I drove my brothers 69 SS Nova with a 482 that was designed to go in Vettes but was outlawed by the EPA for production. He got it out of Hot Rod Magazine for only 1200 dollars. Car designed for a 4 banger, we had to put cross members under it there was so much twisting.

My brother has one in black but I think it's an 85, not a stingray.
