Free agent Chris Brown is not expected to return to the Titans.
Tennessee thinks Chris Henry is a first-round talent. "Rumors" have reportedly circulated that the Patriots could add Brown, but more likely landing spots may include Kansas City, Indianapolis, and Denver.
With Cobbs being waived today the Broncos backfield consists of Henry, M Bell and 2 players who've never carried the football in the league. IMHO we need another vet RB.

meh, 2 vets, one fully proven, another on the rise, backed up by a couple of rooks. With Cecil Sapp also having some skills running the ball, I'm pretty content with the stable.

Signing Brown ain't a real priority. Also, I'd wait until after the June 1st cuts to see what else is out there...

RB is not an issue IMO. I think we have a serious concern at linebacker and a slightly smaller concer on the interior of both lines.

eh
Chris Brown doesnt really do it for me.
And although I have yet to jump on the Henry bandwagon myself, I do think he has at least earned a shot to be on a team where he isnt constantly looking over his shoulder....well, at least for the 1st year.
Whats next? Try to bring McGahee in somehow too? I am sure Henry would love that as much as bringing Chris Brown in. lol

Why are you concerned about the interior of our O line?

The first we won't really know about until the end of the season. The latter is not going to be an issue.

I don't think we will bring him in. We are strapped for cap room and the UDFA's that we have added should be good enough for a third back.

He's not going to sign here to be the 3rd back.

RB is not that solid on the Broncs. Henry has been OK in his career and despite the homerism here, M. Bell is nothing special. They will need to bring in another vet. Maybe Brown - maybe someone else. All teams are going with at least two first line backs and plenty are available.

I agree and I'm somewhat worried about Henry staying healthy. Another veteran needs to be brought in. I don't care if i's Chris Brown, etc. Definately need another body at RB if available.
OT: Where did majikman go? Did he actually join this 'board because of Dayne?
I bet he winds up in NE seeing a shot to get a lot of snaps backing up a second year guy.

Henry (proven vet), Bell (one year under his belt) and Sapp make me pretty comfortable with the RBs. However, if the Broncos still need help, I bet they can always bring in a FA later.

Wow, I totally disagree. Travis Henry is an elite back and simply has never been given the respect that he deserves. The Titans last year basically ran on his shoulders, and he got a bum deal with the Bills (which I'm sure they regret now). Mike Bell scraped and fought from undrafted status to potential #1 back in his rookie season, it takes something special to do something like that. He was up and down his first year in the league but showed flashes of that mythical vision that Khan raved about from training camp. At the very worst he was a phenomenal goalline back. If he puts forth the same effort this offseason as he did last year, we are looking at two backs with starter potential. How more solid can you get than 2 #1 running backs?
i like chris and if he is willing to fight for carries in training camp i see no reason why we shouldnt bring him in. he fits our running style really well he just needs to stay healthy and if he was splitting carries that would be a much easier task.

Shanahan should of sold his lifetime membership at Cherry Creek golf course for Antonio Pittman.
