Thought this was pretty funny and somewhat accurate (I give the draft a B- overall).

NFL FanHouse Draft Grade: Denver Broncos

Remember when Mike Shanahan was an offensive-minded coaching? Yeah, me either. Shanny is now like Buddy Ryan, going crazy with all of the defensive players. Oh well, at least it picks signing the Browns scraps.

The Good: Marijuana dealers are excited by the news of Jarvis Moss and Marcus Thomas coming to town, seeing that both players have been suspended for marijuana offenses. It is as if the Broncos put together their draft board on 4/20. But Moss and Thomas are both good football players. Thomas, in particular, would have been a first round pick, but teams were scared off in the wake of the Pac Man Jones suspension. Teams don't want to burn (pun intended) a high pick on a guy with trouble. But remember, this is pot, its not like they are dangerous or anything. The only real problems the Broncos will have is them eating Wheat Thins in film sessions.

The Bad: The Broncos probably didn't have to give up any picks to move up to take Moss. That was kind of a panic move. But like the Chargers, the Broncos aren't very far away from the Super Bowl, so they can afford to burn some picks.

The Grade: B

The Broncos really bolstered their line to keep pace with the Chargers. Not a lot of picks, but it was very efficient.

I thought this was kinda funny. Under one writer's "Draft Surprises" section, they wrote:

Jarvis Moss, DE, Broncos

The Broncos aren't supposed to draft defensive lineman. They are supposed to get them from the Browns.

Is there a poll somewhere? what is the general consensus at the board about this draft? I was very pleased. we replenished our DL, and i love the thomas pick/gamble. with regards to the Moss pick and trading up... my gut feeling was that he would hav ebeen there at #21 but what the hell do i know? i wasn't there, i wasn't talking with teams. with all the d-linemen taken ahead of us we could either pick Moss, Spencer or Branch... i am to have taken MOss over all the remaining

We deserve a D and this is why. We got some help on our dline but we need to fill at saftey dealing with age and injury is not going to help we also need to get some youth at linebacker. Offense was handled in the offseason but the only solid thing we have on defense is our CB's we need to fill with youth in every other part of your defense. I hope and pray that I'm wrong but this is how I see it

No one reads or respects Dr. Z anymore so it doesn't really matter. He's a charlatan at best.

Actually we have Sam Brandon at Safety with Cox and Abdullah for depth so safety isn't a big issue. Sam Brandon is extremely underrated on this board and our secondary took a hit (and it showed) after he got injured last year. Abdullah and Cox show great promise in the deep backfield as well.

As far as youth on in the LB corps, Ian isnt ancient and DJ is very young. Whoever else we get or have is either young or just a stopgap but it wasnt as pressing as the need to fix the D-line was this year, now, pronto. Our Defensive Line was the biggest problem of our team last year, period. This draft addressed that. Finally.

A+ grade for the draft IMO. I think all 4 guys are going to be great for us.

Great post.

I would like to see S & LB'er addressed next year but were fine for now.

Over Miami or Green Bay? What a joke. Just knowing that he hates our draft makes me like it more.
