Well Ian is WLB. DJ will move to the middle supposedly. Who will be our new strongside LB? This seems to be the weakness now that we have addressed D-line.

Cameron Vaughn
Nate Webster
Louis Green
Warrick Holdman
T.J. Hollowell
D.D. Lewis
Eddie Moore

or a stud UDFA that we pick up!!

"stud" and "UDFA" shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence until around late-August/early-September

Holdman would be my guess at this point

Well I'm thinking that you do not have to be a world beater to start over the list of LB's we have now.

Webster will be the other starter...

Holdman. D.D. Lewis will back him up, Cam Vaughn and Webster will fill out the linebacker depth chart.

It doesn't matter that much....whoever it is, they'll be playing the SAM position....

They will be on tight end/fullback duty all day long....

I just need that person to crash the line of scrimmage like a man possesed....

Finally, we're gonna stop wasting DJ's talent playing that spot....

This upcoming season just keeps looking better...

The funny thing is, most people think that the SAM is the easiest and most worthless position on the field. Quite the contrary though, most college coaches that I talk to say that the SAM has to be the best athlete of the trio of LB's. The player has to be physical enough to take on the TE or FB's on lead blocks with strongside plays and also athletic enough to cover the very good TE's that are now starting to appear in the league. With SD and KC both sporting pro bowl TE's this could be a position that now puts us at risk on defense. Hopefully Holdman or Vaugn can surprise and take the position.

Broncos can always add depth at LB. I won't be suprised if they pick up a FA after the roster cuts leading up to the 2008 season.

I think Shanny's not to worried about the TE's because we have sam brandon.

I know he probably wouldn't have contributed a whole lot this year but I was kind of hoping that Siler would have gone undrafted and we could have picked him up. Oh well... I'm guessing it's either going to be Holdman or Vaughn at sam. Although I would not be surprised to see Gold, Webster & DJ @ Sam in base sets with Webster coming out in the Nickel package and DJ sliding over.

Agreed on both counts, but Holdman is without question a stop-gap soution til next year...

Wow, that's frightening enough without having to toss some scrub into the mix.

Let's hope someone kicks loose in June cuts.

Good thing LB is an overrated and overvalued postion. I don't know who plays the vacant LB spot but he can replace Al's 0 INT's and 2 sacks over past couple years without losing much.

I like Webster, if he can only keep his helmet on.
