Now taking requests.

I want at least one linebacker tomorrow and two would be just fine. A linebacker and a safety would probably be the best scenario.

I want a linebacker too, but I'm sweating the DT situation. If they don't pick up a couple of potential projects, or diamonds in the rough. These positions needs to be addressed via trade or post june 1st free agency.

Best athletes available. No 6th and 7th round picks are going to have the athletic ability and fundamentals to be real contributors. Get us some athletes who can pick up the special teams play while we teach them how to play their position well.

I'm praying that DeOssie or Antwan Barnes somehow slides to 176, then get Cory Anderson (FB, TEN) at 233.

If we draft two LB's I would be hard pressed to believe that the math would work in or favor that one of them would be a likely starter. There are only so many Mecklinbergs (sp) out there...

I hope that we take a stab at a couple large DT's and hope that one can be worked into the rotation this year. Dont we usually pick up some cast offs, that might be a good fit for us? How about we bring back Wilson and end this problem at LB?

I say we hafta get a beefy DT if one is there. Getting a return guy would be nice, but we might be counting on Hixon to be healthy. That's what we drafted him for last year....

So, I'd like a DT and an LB please. And maybe a RB in UDFA.

The fact that we were looking hard at Timmons makes me realize the front office knows we're inadequate at linebacker as currently constructed.

I draft Loius Leanard as run stuffing dt and Marvin White or as a hard hitting safety,Marcus Thomas and Kareem Brown could also fall to the Broncos.Melvin Bullitts and Craig Dahl could also be option at safety.Ryne Robinson might make a great punt returner. Desmond Bishop would be a good backup middle linebacker.

The rumor is that we were looking at Timmons, unless something more firm has been said since the last time I heard something. But shanny admitted we were looking at Harrell, which would indicate that know the DT is inadequate.

The idea of Warren starting with McKinely/Burton scares me personally especially in front of a suspect LB core.

The second day LB's I liked are already gone much earlier than I thought. Not much but table scraps in this really weak class. Safeties in the 176 range may not be very good either. Sigh, not a very fun area to need either of those positions.

SoCal and I were talking on the phone tonight and he mentioned the same thing. I think Ian's gone after this year and we're just keeping him for financial reasons.

Linebacker and then Safety would be a good choice - especially ones that were gunners on special teams. I suspect that could be the case.

Throw DT into that mix and I think you're on track.

LB's- Tim Shaw (OLB) or Brandon Siler (ILB)

S's - Josh Gattis, John Wendling, or Michael Johnson

DT's-... a bunch of them left on the board that I'd love to have! Marcus Thomas, Walter Thomas (BIG BODY!), Paul Soliai, Kareem Brown, and maybe Louis Leonard too though I'll admit I don't know much about him other than he's a big body DT. Brown and Marcus Thomas are get after the QB types. The other 3 are the big uglies Bates' has used in his system in the past.

I'll also add that a guy like Courtney Brown would be a very nice day 2 addition. CB is not a need but we'll keep 4 or 5 and he'd be a lot better than Shoate or anybody else currently on the roster. Champ, Dre, Nique, and Courtney Brown would make a very nice CB corps... and you would get ST use out of him as well. Do a search on BPC's posts and you'll find out some more info on him. He was at his proday helping out and A LOT of scouts were impressed with him: Stock Rising: The most impressive overall workout of the early Pro Day sessions unquestionably belongs to Cal Poly CB Courtney Brown. Not invited to the Combine due to questions about his speed, Brown's efforts March 6 at San Jose State silenced critics in exactly 4.35 seconds. After running that first blistering time, Brown's second attempt was timed at 4.32, matching the top time in Indianapolis this year (Arkansas CB Chris Houston). Brown wasn't only fast, his 41.5-inch vertical jump, 10'11" broad jump and 4.07-second short shuttle were also among the elite turned in by any athlete at the Combine or subsequent Pro Days. Perhaps most exciting is the fact that Brown is hardly considered a workout warrior. He missed nearly the entire 2004 season with a torn ACL, but returned in 2005 to earn D-IAA All-American honors with seven interceptions. Timed at a 4.60 last spring, Brown entered his senior season discounted by some scouts, yet rarely challenged by the opposition, leading to less than eye-popping statistics in 2006 (one interception, seven pass break ups, 55 tackles). With size, athleticism and obvious upside, Brown certainly won't be overlooked any more. (1.46 10 yard time... INSANE!) Not saying he can return kicks/punts, but he can be your gunner on ST's, your 4th CB, and an emergency starter down the road. Very good depth and a great STer, which is what you do on day two!

Thought about Breaston as well but not real enthused with him. Honestly, if we're going to reach on a return man that can play receiver and add value on reverses and that sort of thing, I'd rather reach/chance Ramonce Taylor.

None of these guys can be realistically expected to be there in the 6th and 7th.

Unfortunately, I feel Denver's defense cannot be rebuilt with 1 offseason and draft. Denver started the rebuild the offense with last year's draft/FA. I expect the defense to be rebuit this draft and over next offseason and draft. You cannot fix all the parts with this draft. S, LB, and DT should be priorities next season.

I agree, I guess those are the "dream sheet" guys. One of those DT's will certainly be available and I would love to see the Broncos take either Courtney Brown or Jackie Battle in round 6... though I doubt either one of them will be available. Battle would be that big bodied power back that actually punishes tacklers!

As for Sartz, I like his heart. Kind of reminds me of the things I liked about Romo. The never quit never surrender mentality.

NE will end up with Courtney Brown. I went to his pro day, he is by far one of the most developed looking athletes that i've seen and i've been around a bunch. He is a solid 6'2", 200lbs, high cut athlete.

I'm hoping for:

QB - Chris Leak
HB - Darius Walker
WR - Chansi Stuckey or John Broussard
OT - Eddie Keele
OG - Nathan Bennett
OC - Mark Fenton or Dustin Frye
DT - Marcus Thomas, Quinton Echols, and Walter Thomas
LB - There is a bunch of them...
DB - There is a bunch of S's and CB's that can help us as well.

Even in the 6th and 7th round, we have the chance to add some very good players to our roster.
