They could still turn around and trade him to move down, but I think he almost has to go #1.

Odds are it was the whole time, just tried to add suspense and see if any teams would bite on a trade, which didn't work.

it wouldn't shock me to see them trade Moss & some picks & end up with Russell & CJ at this point
the draft nonsense is crazy this year

Supposedly TB is offering Detroit their 1,2 and 3 this year and their 1 next year for CJ...now it gets crazy.

Welcome to the AFC West Jemarcus. I hope you have many great memorable moments in the NFL ie. your first game against the Broncos where Bly and Bailey combine for 5 INTs off of you.

The Raiders were in a position to completely revamp their offense -- instead they chose more mediocrity. Should have taken CJ with their first, grabbed either Edwards or Stanton with their second -- then trade Moss.
The beauty of this is the Raiders will remain the doormats to everyone else in our division.

Oh, now, exaggeration there.....Let's be realistic, I'm sure Lynch will have one also.

I agree. Though I will say that at least they took a player they need help with. I predict that Russell in that environment will care as little as everyone else, get even fatter and go into the tank.:~ohyah!:

So much for Mayock's inside knowledge.

Time for Shanny to get on the phone and get Millen's ear. ;D

I can't determine which QB would be the best to take, too much speculation but I think it's smart of the Raiders to take a QB. Taking CJ with no one to throw to him, they'd have a high priced, multi-talented WR standing out there on the field, much like Moss. They missed their chance last year, I doubt they will this year. As far as mediocrity, they've still got Al.

I agree with Steve Young. Russell to the Raiders is the wrong pick. He's young. He won't be able to lead them for at least two years, but they'll be forced to throw him in because their bench at that position sucks. So, they'll beat the crap out of Jamarcus. Who knows, they might ruin him. Too bad for Jamarcus. CJ should have been the pick. Way to go, Faders!

The Faid should have taken a GM with their pick. Ha!

I won't believe anything about Slimey Al's pick until it comes out of the commissioner's mouth.

So much for Mayock's inside knowledge.
The only thing he got right in the last 2 years was that Cutler was an excellent QB.

it's too bad Washington doesn't have the number 2 pick in the draft, because Shanny could get that pick from them for nothing more than a grilled cheese sandwich.
