I really think we should look at this guy, I love him. Elam is getting pretty long in the tooth and as much as I love his accuracy, his leg is getting too weak. Every week I worry about him pull a dman hammy.

Big Guy is right .... nobody wants Mason Crosby to be a Bronco more than you and me and a handful of others around here broncswin, but the timing is just wrong. Elam has 3-5 more years as one of the two or three most accurate < 50 yard kickers. And lest we forget - he is a truly storied Bronco: Alltime scorer, second most games (Elway), the two Lombardis and the 63-yarder. A first-ballot Ring-of-Fame.

Mason is worth one win a year on 55-60 yard FGs alone. He's also a touchback machine, which affects games more than a lot of us realize. I'm just gearing up to watch him kickoff every single week for whoemever drafts him.

If Broncos were a complete team with no holes i would maybe agree with you. Considering the Broncos lack of youthfull talent on defense I would think we need to use those 3rd round picks on some young defensive players.

I want to see Elam break the all-time scoring record as a Bronco. If he keeps up his 119 point per season average, he should have it in about 6 more seasons.

Other than Crosby being a talent, I don't see why people are so quick to rush Elam out the door. He was 27/29 last year and can still make the 50 yard attempts.

Chalk up another Buff homer that knows that Mason won't be a bronco. It's a luxury that we can not afford. Elam has a few good years ahead of him and is still an elite NFL kicker. Maybe after a few years we can pick Mason up ala the Colts and Vinatieri.
