Cool article about players and the reasons behind their choice of jersey number.
Some good stuff in there, like Drew Brees wearing #9 as a salute to Ted Williams, Justin Morneau wearing #33 because he grew up idolizing Patrick Roy and Mike Ricci wearing #40 in honor of Pat Tillman.
very cool article...jagr was my favorite although all the tributes are definitely nice.

Jarron Collins/Reggie Miller. . . Kind of an odd connection.

My nephew had a reason he wore 11. Said it was because he was so good he was number 1 - twice.

I wore 1 and 11.
How 'bout the shout-out to Bill Voiselle in the article? He's a relative of my girlfriend.

Cool article. I remember when baseball player Tony Phillips was on the ChiSox, he took the number 73 because, on his last team, his number was taken by a big free agent or something. He took 73 because he knew no one would ever want that number

I like how David Wells chose the #3 to honor Babe Ruth. He also pitched his perfect game while drunk in honor of the Sultan of Swat.
