PACKERS MAKE AN OFFER FOR MOSS?

There's talk in league circles that the Green Bay Packers have made an offer of a fourth-round draft pick to the Raiders for receiver Randy Moss.

The information doesn't come from the Packers or the Raiders, so there's a chance that it's not entirely accurate. With that said, it originates with a team that has a keen interest in the question of whether receiver Calvin Johnson will be on the board after the Raiders use their first pick.

And the obvious conclusion is that a trade of Moss means that the Raiders will increase the likelihood that the No. 1 overall pick will be receiver Calvin Johnson.

This, in turn, could cause teams who are talking to the Lions about Johnson to shift their attention to the Raiders, since it might take a trade up to No. 1 to get Calvin.

Just to play around with the idea...

How far does a Packer team with Brett Favre, Larry Johnson, and Randy Moss go in a last ditch effort for Brett?

Who knows if it would become a team enough to work. Johnson and Moss are cancers in the locker room, and who knows how Donald Driver would feel being upstaged by a reciever who performed worse than he did this past year. However, if they all rally around Favre, they have enough young talent on O and D to make a dent in the division and give Chicago a good scare. I've always thought giving DeAngelo Hall that spot on the NFC Probowl team was absolute robbery of Al Harris, who's a far superior CB.

Depends how hard LJ decides to play for a white head coach that he can't relate to.

Why do the Packers need another WR? They have Driver, Jennings and Ferguson and want Randy?

I agree ward, I think they are much better off with the group they have, then trying to add a guy like Moss. I just don't think this guy has it anymore, so what if he plays hard for Farve, it will be for only one year and then Brett is gone and the trouble begins. A young qb trying to please Moss again, it will be like he was with the Fade all over again. I don't really like the Pack, but I don't know if I could wish the Fade curse on anyone...........except the cheffies.:~ohyah!:
