He should know about insults, he's been an insult to the American people.

Sheryl Crow And Karl Rove Exchange Insults In D.C.
By Doug Ware - KUTV.com
(KUTV) WASHINGTON, D.C. - An event typically known for its political humor and wise cracking comedy, the annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner on Saturday night was the scene of a rather heated exchange – between presidential adviser Karl Rove and singer Sheryl Crow.

The issue of focus: Global warming.

Crow attended the event with documentary producer Laurie David -- who helped create Al Gore’s Oscar-winning film “An Inconvenient Truth.” At one point during the dinner, the pair decided to try and persuade Rove to change his position on global warming.

David and Crow walked over to Rove’s table and made their pitch. David claims she said, “I urge you to take a new look at global warming.” But she says Rove’s response was anything but cordial.

“He went from zero to 100 with me,” David said. “I have never had anyone be so rude.”

Exactly what Rove said is unclear, but Crow said that the exchange got so heated that she stepped in to defuse the situation.

The singer reportedly barked at Rove, “You work for me.” To which Rove replied, “No… I work for the American people.”

Exactly what was said during the exchange depends on who you ask. Crow and David say the president’s top adviser berated them for no reason. But Rove says it was he who was attacked first.

“[David] came over to insult me and she succeeded,” Rove claims.

"I honestly thought that I was going to change his mind, like, right there and then," Laurie David said.

He doesn't work for the American people, he works for the Bush/ Cheney Cartel.

Crow and David are articulate and well spoken. They have been on several programs recently. I imagine Karl wasn't use to hearing so many properly constructed sentences in one sitting and became a little irritated.
