Jason La Canfora, of the Washington Post, reports the Washington Redskins have been exploring ways to move up or down in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft. The Redskins currently hold the No. 6 overall pick. Owner Daniel Snyder covets Georgia Tech WR Calvin Johnson, and the team has looked for different ways to move up in the first round. However, many coaches and scouts within Redskins Park hope the team trades downs in the NFL Draft, according to league sources. The team does not have a pick in the second, third or fourth round.

Hmmmmmmmmmm

Heard on ESPN today that the skins want to add some picks in the 2nd and 3rd round.

Anyone thinks it worth moving up to 6?

Only if they want to target AP or Landry. I think Jamaal could be had at ten.

Offer 21, 86 and Fred.

Articles like this infuriate me.

I bet most teams outside the top 5 are looking to move up or down, depending on the scenario. I wish I was a sports writer. What a cop out for a job.

I hope they move up. I hope they trade next year's picks to do it. I love seeing them with two picks a year and nothing to show for it. Hilarious!

Isn't Snyder's piehole still sore with Shanahan's umm... abuse?

The Skins are also supposed to have had private workouts with Ginn and Bowe where they sent Campbell to throw to him. So either they plan to move waaay down in the 1st, or they plan to try to get back into the bottom half of the 1st to get either of those two. Then of course it could always just be a smokescreen.

I wouldn't throw Fred in there unless they were willing to add Cooley and Taylor to the mix to even out the trade.
