Hmm, odd. I noticed the girl in the new one is the same from the first two. But, she died in the second so either she was saved somehow or its a twin sister. lol

Some of it yes, but then it shows the girl with blonde streaks ( could of been missing footage from the second ) if it was flashbacks. But some of those scenes werent in the first two.

The first one was good, the second one was not that great.

Is this where Jason Bourne saves us from the bomb that is Ben Afflecks career?

It's a dirty bomb. You feel the effects for years.

Unless I'm mistaken the girl with blonde streaks and wearing the black wig in the trailer is Julia Stiles (Nicky) who was his contact in Paris.

I have wanted them to do this series since Ludlum wrote them in the early Eighties. Most movies that have to change decades in order to be up to date really suck. However, Matt Damon really did a fine job as Jason Bourne and made the rest believeable.

Can not wait for the final book to be made. This is the best story of the three.

If you guys like the movies I highly recommend the books. The trilogy is Robert Ludlum's masterpiece.

I thought Ludlum died before it was finished and someone else wrote the final "chapters".

Don't know. Maybe confusing this with something else.

I don't know about that, but I know that they're still publishing books under his name that are written by some betty.

If you like Ludlum books I highly recommend "The Road to Gandalfo". It's pretty funny...with some intrigue mixed in.

Robert Ludlum

(born May 25, 1927, New York, N.Y., U.S. — died March 12, 2001, Naples, Fla.) U.S. author of spy thrillers. He worked in the theatre as an actor and a successful producer and acted for television before turning to writing. Among his best-sellers were The Scarlatti Inheritance (1971), The Osterman Weekend (1972; film, 1983), The Matarese Circle (1979), and The Bourne Identity (1980; film, 1988, 2002). Though critics often found his plots unlikely and his prose uninspired, his fast-paced combination of international espionage, conspiracy, and mayhem proved enormously popular.

So someone else is ghostwriting under his name now.

1st one was great. 2nd was good but what I didn't like about it was the new director. He liked that really shakey camera view cuz he thinks it brings more life like results. I personally didn't like it that much. I hope the 3rd has a new director who doesn't shake the hell out of the camera.

The Matarese Circle is a good one. The Bourne Ultimatum was written in the early 90's I think, so it's unlikely that someone else finished it up.

The books that are still coming out with his name on the cover also have the actual author's name as well.

These were adapted from novels? I never read just wait for the movie. This series is one of the best. Great suspense. Damon kicks ass and is very believable in all scenes from fights to speaking different languages. ANytime these are on the TV, I watch it. I have seen each one at least 6 times. Affleck has got to be one jealous friend of the movies Matt plays.

Ludlum wrote all three books in the trilogy including the new Bourne Ultimatum. Eric Van Lustbader wrote the continuation book the Bourne Legacy with a very up to date plot. Van Lustbader has a very good style but is more unbelievable than even Ludlum with some of his ideas and is nowhere near the quality of Ludlum. Most people think he is a hack, but I like him anyway ;D Partly because I read his Nicholas Linnear Novels about the Ninja back in the late 80's and early nineties and am familiar with his sensational style. Also, this is one of my favorite fictional characters along with Jack Ryan who Hollywood butchered with Harrison Ford and much worse with Affleck. Affleck is nowhere near Jack Ryan and somehow they made a very good actor seem an awful character with Harrison.

The only Ludlum book I ever read was Apocolypse Watch. Like many have noted, very fanciful but entertaining nonetheless. Thick book, long but packed with lots of action and a cool if hard to believe twist at the end. I believe I recommended this book to Tredici.

As few others have mentioned I like the first one much better. The main problem with the second was the director (Paul Greengrass). So much dark shots and shaky cameras it was almost impossible to watch IMO.
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p>
For those who felt the same way you’ll be disappointed to hear that Greengrass is directing the 3rd installment. Doug Liman Who directed the first one is the executive producer in both the 2nd and the 3rd.
To be fair, the script of the first one is also superior.

Good movies. Good books. Matt Damon is surprisingly good, but he really found some chops in Mr. Riplely and then one of my fav sports movies, Bagger Vance. The new Bond is really, really good though. That was action with a capital A.

That's how I felt about it. It was a bit too MTV. The lighting annoyed me too.
