A guy that hasn't played an NFL down yet is number 8?

That entire "mock draft" is retarded.

Ummm, just a few things off the top of my head.

Dwight Freeney is not an OLB.

Vince Young would not be the 4th QB off the board. I know he had a nice rookie year, but come on.

Calvin Johnson the first receiver taken? Ummm, no.

Laron Landry over Brian Dawkins & Bob Sanders? Again, no.

JaMarcus Russell the fifth QB taken? Are you serious?

Joe Thomas the second OT off the board? Huh?

Demeco Ryans is not a WR.

True to form they ALWAYS have us taking a WR. While I like Boldin, Sanders and Wilson are available and we take a WR. Deja vu'.

Seriously, if you're an editor and one of your lazy ass writers just mails it in with a stupid article like this, would you bother reading the thing, either?

No, I'd be too busy interviewing new writers for his job while he cleaned out his cubicle.

I'm way to busy(lazy) to actually read all of the picks the CNN guy made. Anyway it is a good idea and an interesting concept.

HE chose Bolden for Denver, Isn't Fitzgerald a better choice. I would rather have Fitzgerald.

I'd rather have Tommie Harris or Kevin Williams.

Nah, if the draft continued how this writer had it going, they could get Cutler in the 3rd round, one pick after Brady Quinn. ::)

Jesus. When I saw Kevin Williams at 26 I actually laughed.

This is the most disjointed and pathetic article yet out of SI.

Why did he mix undrafted prospects yet with veterans?

Jay FREAKING Cutler!

Your crazy! Demarcus Russell! :spit:

How do they crap this stuff out? On their laptops kicking back Vodka tonics?

If he wants to do a history draft, fine. If he wants to mix in players that have yet to be drafted that have proven dick in the pros, that's another.

If he played in a 3-4 scheme he'd be an OLB.....not an end...

the rest of your take i agree with....very weird picks but it would be impossible to predict a fantasy draft anyway...

i give the guy credit for trying.....even if he did blow it...lol

I bet it was all he could do to not put Tony Romo on that list. The media have managed to cram both his nuts in their mouth and still sing his praises.

I really don't know a whole lot about either of them so I will follow your lead on the subject.

Credit for what? Mixing in players that have proven themselves with undrafted prospects? It's the stupidest thing yet.

No kidding.

All the while Drew Brees has three straight All-Pro caliber seasons (and an MVP caliber season last year), yet he's taken behind JaMarcus Russell?

Yeah this guy is a doofus. 90% of the draftees don't even stay in the NFL. It's pretty over-hyped.

I bet if you polled all 32 GMs over half would take Russell over Brees.

You would lose that bet and then fail to honor it.
