I think it is possible if St Louis can make a trade for a DT. Media has him falling and whether or not that means NFL GM's agree remains to be seen. I hope and I never thought Steven Jackson would drop to Denver's spot let alone to mid 20's a couple years ago.

if the trade you mention is Jenkins, I'd rather nab him for a 3rd and then just draft a DE with the 1st rounder.

Agreed.

I would take Branch @ 21 without hesitation.

what if we traded for jenkins prior to the draft?? still take him in case one of the bug guys goes down? or take best DE availabale and fill that need?

I think we should grab Jenkins and draft a de in the first, we will be sitting pretty.

I could live with both of them on the roster.

If we land Jenkins, I say find a DE a safety and then another DT. With Warren, Jenkins, McKinley, etc, we should have a solid rotation at DT. Get a passrusher on the edge and finish the project.

I don't think Branch will fall to #21, teams will usually draft the best player available and won't pass him up. But i do think we should trade up to get jamaal anderson.

it would be great to get jenkins but i think that the broncos are done with dealing until the draft
i think a darkhorse is harrell from tennessee and a safety with their first rounder which is what they have really needed for awhile but we will have to wait and see they always surprise us

i would take branch in a second, if we get jenkins then i would take FS (nelson/meriweather), LB, or LT (brown), and if none are there I would take best DE or trade down.

If we get Jenkins then we should go after Jarvis Moss. He can't stop the run as well as a starter needs to, but he has all the pass rushing skills we need and then some. Swap Gold and DJ, let the 240 pound LB help cover the 240 pound DE's run weakness. Gold is the better of the two in coverage and should be strong siding anyways, where he can cover TEs.
What I actually think we might see though is us giving up #70 for Jenkins, then trading up after Patrick Willis. Last year we turned a fistful of first day picks into a high 1st, a late 2nd, and an established NFL player. Worked out so well I wouldn't be surprised to see Shanahan go back to that same tactic. I don't think any of us could complain if the draft brought home Kris Jenkins, Patrick Willis, and a developmental DE, S, or OL with the later 3rd.

Miami, San Francisco and St. Louis are the kickers in the situation. If he gets by them, I think he'll be there.
