Tough games but looks like the biggies are mostly at home except for New England.

I wouldn't consider the Q a huge home field advantage. It might be more this year now that even more bandwagon fans will be attending, but in earlier years there were more opposing fans than sparkler fans

Tough schedule. Fitting for a 14-2 team.

The only time recently (within the last 10 years) your statement was remotely true, was when the turds were good, SD was bad, and the bangers from LA made the trip down. Even then, SD fans still held the majority- albeit slim.

There will be plenty of homefield advantage. Nothing comparable to KC or Den., but there we will have homefield.

Not playing at Chicago, Indy or Baltimore would be considered homefield even if they played the games on a neutral site...We get Chi, Indy away...they have the harder sched. based on Indy and Chi. getting harder scheds. too. We'll find out soon enough if Norv has always been a victim of being a coach of bad teams.

I've been to every Broncos/Chargers game at Jack Murphy since 2001 and also in 1998 and 1999. Last season was the first real home field advantage that Chargers have had in that series.

Haha at the NFC, every single team is either at .500 or under while every AFC team is over .500. AFC rules!

So true. Going into the playoffs last year the AFC playoff teams combined were like 16-3 against NFC opponents while the NFC playoffs teams were something like 9-10 against the AFC.

I haven't been to every one, but several since before then, and you're wearing rose colored shades. Donk fans do come out and represent. And so do chef fans. And so to the turds.

Homefield advantage in SD will never be what it is in KC or Denver, so in that respect, I agree.

I could see San Diego going 3-3 before the bye with losses coming at home against Chicago, at New England and at Denver.

We can beat Chicago. They have a good defense and special team player in Hester, but they also have Rex Grossman. Hester can be neutralized as long as we don't kick it to him. Plus, we have their former defensive coordinator on our staff, giving us the ins and outs of certain players. So a win is likely here.
New England will be a tough game but winnable since it's so early in the season. Brady still needs time to gell with his new receivers. Asante may not even be in that game due to him sitting out or being traded. Belicheck, as good a defensive mind as he is, still can't find a way to stop LT. Plus, it's revenge time baby! A win is also likely here.
The Denver game will be close as always. The key is once again the trenches. Last year was the first time LT rushed over a hundred yards against you guys because he finally had a good oline to run behind. If Denver doesn't get at least a decent DT to help Warren out, LT going to present a problem for you guys. Likewise, the defense, particuarly the DE, has to consistently pressure Rivers.
I can't say much about your oline. But I assume it'll do a better job than last year because you have Lepsis back, Foster is gone, and Kuper is a up and comer according to Kaylore. Still Cutler is going to face a lot of pressure from a healthy Merriman, Phillips, and Castillo. Travis Henry will defnitely help out in the running game but we've faced him before and stopped him. Granted it wasn't behind Denver's line so I suspect he will also be a formidable opponent. Fortunatley, Matt Wilhelm is replacing Donnie Edwards, and he's much better against the run than Donnie.

This is all pre draft speculation. So anything could change within the next months. But I feel that we should at least be 4-2 before the bye.
