See I know a lot of people hate going to Oakland but come on where else do we walk through the door and have a 9-3 recard since Mike has been here? It is a relaxing game we should get a win, tickets are cheap and the fans are fun to laugh at. In the past 3 seasons they have even been more respectfull then KC. So who all is down for a win?

I am all for a win Hawaii but when you had a gun pulled on you at a Faider game, getting up the nerve to go again isnt really fun. Maybe some day when there are at least 30 of us sitting together, I will go for it. Power in numbers. I love football and especially live football. I just dont want to give my life for it.

Wow, I was thinking about going there on Dec. 2 but my friend who lives in Oakland told me to stay away for the exact reason. This is what he said to me when I thought about it. "...I would love to see you up here but I would stongly advise you not to go to the Broncos game in Oakland. Raider fans are really tough on folks cheering for their opponents, especially the Broncos and Chiefs (their two most heated rivalrys.) "

My buddy wants to go bad, he would bring a few friends.

Id be a little nervous going, ive heard stories, kinda scary.

I can handle myself, but why put yourself in that situation?

Same thing ive heard

I remember seeing a sign on TV last year when the Broncos visited the Raiders. It said, "$200 for a ticket, $179 for roundtrip airfare, $20 for food and beer, a Bronco Fan staying alive in Oakland, PRICELESS".

Here are the Raider fans and the Raider lady who sat behind me on Sunday. I am sure glad that I made it out alive from my section.

Maybe there is a suite for rent through the raiders.com where we can cheer and be safe behind some windows/glass. But I would figure tailgatting would suck big time.

I agree John, we need a box suite where we can cheer without them hearing us. You can count me in if there is a box suite for rent. Just need to get another 15 people so that we can all escort each other to the arena, to the bathroom and out of the arena.

Tailgating would suck but we can always do it outside of Oakland....

I emailed a sales guy in Oakland also with questions like price on suites. Seems they have some up to 24 people. I will be waiting for their response. Here is what I got from their website. Check the one on the bottom. I think it is the priority for visiting fans. This might work. I believe a separate parking lot for all suite holders. Maybe you can tailgate there too. You get three parking passes (or maybe one big orange bus....HMMM). BTW: You are nuts if you want to put orange in the middle of a huge black hole. Have you heard "circling the wagons"?

Sounds good John, I inquired about the 12 person suite just in case some folks are afraid of heading up to Oaktown. Hopefully the prices are reasonable and not outrageous. We need Meck to bring OF1 into Oaktown, put bullet proof glass, reinforce the body with extra steel and have Raidersuck guard the roof.

It was nice knowing you STG. I have two kids and wife. I cannot put my life on the line for a football game. "Circling the Wagons" is us frontiersmen getting surrounded by Indians. Just replace Bronco fan with frontiersmen and Indians would be replaced by Faider Drunk fan. I havent heard back from the guy yet but he emailed and told me to give him my number. If I do this, it would be morning up there on Jet Blue and back that night. Easy in, survive, then easy out? I also emailed a broncos fan that goes up there every year and stays in a suite. I will see what he says.

I just talked to the guy and he will email info over today. Suites are pretty expensive which comes to $263 to $313 a ticket. Next option is club level for AROUND $126 to $151 a ticket but must be bought privately (stub hub, etc) to get a group. Last option is group tickets and they have some around goal line to 5 yard line for $76 each. Individual tickets go on sale for this game at the end of the month and I dont know if they will keep a block of tickets after that for group tickets. $76 seems like a great price compared to Denver and of course San Deigo. Safety in numbers. Minimum is 20 people but 50 seems to be more secure! Of course getting that many is going to be tough. Also, tailgatting is on the open market. That is where it could get nutso. I am sure tailgatting near Spike would give us respect as they come out and tailgate with Barrelman and Hat Man Jay. Who knows. Maybe getting an interest list would be needed here. Include Faider fans as we need as many as possible to make group. Friendly Faider fans a plus.

I'd love to go since it's not too far for me, but since I'm trying for the Monday nighter on the week of Thanksgiving and the Birthday game on the 9th, this would be right in the middle and would make funds a little tight! Especially if I'm planning on attending our playoff games in January!!! ;D

Thanks for the info John. I got a call from them this morning and they said the same prices too.

The tickets that are on Club Level for $126 - $151 aren't suites right?. $76 is a good price near the 5 yard line. We should get an interest list going just to see how many Maners are interested.

Don't check ticketmaster just yet.... Just want to gain an interest list to see how many people are interested. I know that I can secure about 15 tickets for around $49.00 a piece and seats are in the upper section.

As far as the suite goes, the Faiders rep said its about $4,600 for the smallest suite which holds about 15. He also said if the suite doesn't work out, he would be happy to discuss group tickets.

I just e-mailed the Faiders Rep again to see how much group tickets would cost. There is a smaller suite called the Hall of Fame suite which isn't as extensive as the bigger suites. This includes in-suite restroom, full buffet, sliding window, etc.

Okay, so this is the scoop from the Faiders rep...

It appears that the Hall of Fame suite holds 96 people but its $325 per ticket which is out of the question. They can do group tickets in the stadium but the minimum is 20 people.

Stubhub has tickets for however amount of tickets we need and those I am sure tickets can be purchased a week or so before the game on Stubhub. So, lets keep the interest list going until we have a final number.

I would get your own flight since everyone seems to be coming in at different times and days. Also, we can't get 10 tickets together near the lower section unless we pay $150 a person. The places that I have found 10 tickets together are in Section 346.

Sorry all for falling off the map. Work and Travel has been Crazy!!! 13 states in 18 days. Then wife and I have put off getting these tickets because they are always easy to come by. I have a buddy comming up from LA with me for this game so we are for sure down for 4 tickets. On another note if anyone is interested in comming to denver for the KC game let me know I still have those two tickets. BroncosFan116 just let me know and I can get you the funds asap. If we dont get group tickets va the raiders we still should get the stubhub tickets together and have a Broncos Mob there.

I found 10 tickets together on the sideline on the Broncos side. Its on Field Level 135, Row 31. Price per ticket is around $95.00 (including service fee).

Is that too pricey for you guys and should I just stick with the $35.00 tickets?. Respond here..

I have and it is not as bad as people say it is. I like the upper level better because there are more Bronco fans there. So I think the $35 tickets would be better. KC fans are worse by a lot. Some of the rraider fans are funny but if you show them respect they will show it back unlike kc.

I don't know what made go into this thread in the first place, but happened to see my name!

For the sake of actually looking, I did check the flights on Expedia and have no idea where you see $199. I checked LAX, Oakland, and SF and the cheapest I found was $360 a ticket. I saw one flight that left at 8PM Sunday night and arrived at 5:30AM. In all honesty, there's really no way for me to make this one. Monday is the first business day of the month and I have no chance of getting it off right now.

The BART is called the Bay Area Rapid Transit system which is a subway which runs from San Francisco Airport, the city and all the way beyond Oakland. The BART also stops in front of Mcafee Stadium as well. Take a look at the link below. I believe the airport shares the same BART station as Mcafee Stadium.

Getting there 45 minutes before the game leaves no time to tailgate. Are you guys planning on tailgating at all, or just showing for game. Again the fans there are not as bad some of the other places I have been. I have been here 4 times and have seen wins and losses. Miami and KC are both far worse. Just show them respect and ignore the dumb asses and dont act like a dumbass, and it will all be good.
I am going just like I did all 11 other games, in my orange shorts, Bronco clogs, Cutler Jersey, and a old style Bronco helmet. My wife will have the orange shoes and Lynch jersey.
If we meet up before the game we could all get the tickets then and walk in together.

I am cool with the small tailgate party and meet you guys there. So we are going to rule out the sports bar idea then right??....

I would say that the HawaiiGuy idea is the best so far. I will let you know if i need a ride by friday. The other people that are coming are from Santa Clara, so if i can get them to pick me up that would probably be easier on you, although i do appreciate it.
As for 116, if that is the plan, then we don't have to meet up in LA to exchange tickets for money, i can just get them on Sunday.
I get in a 9:30am, just let me know and we can go from there

Just talked to HawaiiGuy by phone and he gave me the instructions on where the parking lot is and where he wants to hold the small tailgating party at. The walk is about .75 miles from the parking lot to the stadium.

So you want all 4 tickets right?. 2 for you and the 2 extra ones?.

Yea, so far as of now, I have two. One for my buddy and I who are flying up Sunday morning. And the other two are for my friends that live in santa clara.
HawaiiGuy-I can see if my friend can bring a little grill. Should be a good day weather wise, about 60 degrees give or take

Should I just go straight there from airport?

According to HawaiiGuy, the parking lot is not the Mcafee Stadium parking lot. Basically, the parking lot is on a street about a mile away from the stadium. It is best that we walk in a big group to the game since the walk will be about 20 - 25 minutes and hopefully we won't draw much attention.

Ok. What is the total count on tickets and people again?

Why park so far. Its leaving that most people are drunk by that time. And when the Broncos win, it may stir trouble

Really, they'll be fine. Again...everyone that has really been to this stadium has come back and said how much things are blown out of proportion. You have to go into any opponents stadium with a little respsect and they will have no problem with you. Maybe a little heckling, as we give that to opponents when they come to Invesco, but that should be the jist of it.

So you went to a Bronco game in Los Angeles when the faiders were here in LA??? By your comments I am calling BS and say you never did..... You have NO clue. I did and almost got shanked by the tattoo'd gang bangers that infest the faider games here. Sorry, just being real from experience.

I would agree about parking far but that is where HawaiiGuy parks when he goes there. If we went to a sports bar, at least it will be safe and we can just go straight to the game after the bar.

Who has NEVER been to a game in Oakland??!! :P

About parking so far... I don't know how parking works in Oakland, but if it's anything like Denver, if you aren't there early before the gates open, you can't park close anyway. And, typically most of the lots that are close are for those who have pre-purchased parking passes.

Since Hawaii Guy has been to games in Oakland, I'd go with what he's experienced and then maybe do a lot of observations so that next year when we all decide to head out for the game you guys can give us some great direction! I think it would be great to get a group together for this game as an away game...but, maybe we'll start the planning for it when the schedule comes out!

I would like to head into the stadium to watch them warmup, but I heard the players like lynch does not even head out for warmup

It's fun to get in their early. Most are always out on the field warming up and such an hour or so ...sometimes two, prior to game time. You'll also get to see the typical things they do before the start of the game...the Anthem (My favorite...believe it or not) and the cheerleaders (most of the guys favorite ;D) I always try to get into the stadium an hour before. It's fun! I guess if I went to the games every time there was a game, the excitement might wear off...but, it still hasn't for me!

Let me get this correct. You will park that far away for the tailgatting "experience", show your Broncos colors then walk for 20 to 25 minutes thru the 3rd unsafest city in America? Add that you are obviously not from Chokeland, like Sassy said, "It was nice knowing you." What the hell are you guys thinking? Not just for a safety issue but what fun is it to tailgate 25 minutes away? Here is a brilliant idea...... A freaking taxi cab might work! People, pleeeeeeeease rethink this one. For HG's streak to last, you need to be alive for the home game vs KC.

As I have said before this is my 5th game in Oakland. Every time parked on the west side of I880 Exit 66th. After exiting head towards the water, then head north and park as soon as you can. We can keep in contact also via cell phones. I'll pick up some beer when I get in tomorrow. Any food anyone else wants to bring would be cool. Talking to Jordan we would like to go into the game early and watch warm ups and stuff. Keep in touch.

I guess I am the first one to reach the Bay Area. However, I am staying in Mountain View near Palo Alto. Don't need to be in the 3rd unsafest city except for the game. Anyways, can you PM me the exact address again? I seemed to have lost it.....Thanks!!

Made it back safely people! Can't say much for the Broncos, we look terrible. Had fun at the tailgate and game. It was not as bad as people were making it out to be. We got heckled, but was clearly not as bad as what calijohn made it to be....a little bit of a drama queen.

Tailgated with other broncos locals. Met HawaiiGuy and wife, nice people. Not sure i would wear shorts, but thats cool. He got a little heated towards the people behind us, but they deserved it. 116, not sure why he came late and left early. Not only that but he got more grief for not wearing broncos gear and rooting for them than we did.
Got on the flight from Burbank and the entire plane was filled with Raider fans, and then me in orange! Hope we can get more out next time.

Great to hear it wasn't like what some who'd never been were saying! You just never know with these things, so it's best to rely on those who've actually been!

Glad you guys had a good time! Everyone has their own plans and agenda for the games and tailgates and that's ok! Usually when you are traveling in and haven't been around, you want to check things out. And, you live and learn! Guess he'll be wearing Broncos gear the next time! ;D

First of all 2438, in my defense, I didn't know what to expect and I came late because my friend lives all the way in San Jose. Second, my friend had to go to a Faider tailgating party and I didn't want to start anything. I left early because my friend was COLD and she didn't want to hike up almost 30 rows to the top.

Thanks for the grief but at least at the Faider tailgating party, they were more welcoming even they knew that I liked the Broncos.

Thanks STG. You are absolutely correct. It was my friends first time to a Faiders game and she wanted to do this and that. I wanted to be with the rest of the Maners but I wanted to observe and check out things for everyone on this site (which I took photos during my scouting of the place).

I went through all that hardwork to get tickets and two tickets went unused because of a tragic event that happened. I don't expect to get money back for the tickets but being a dedicated Broncos fan, I am just glad that I was able to contribute for the rest of the Maners.

Ms. Calif. Girlfriend and I got two tickets last minute and drove up there Sunday morning. I totally agree with what you're saying. We got heckled some, but no worse than in San Diego. Mostly the Raider fans were passionate about their team and pretty good people. Much different than when they were in LA.
