Interesting theory. Makes sense, but it seems like it would translate to most other positions too.

That's one area NFL Europa is really good. A lot of linemen go to NFL Europa and can develop and have decent careers in the NFL. I would say more so than other positions.

This is a very high check in the process of most teams and is used to determine the ceiling and floor of a players NFL ability. It is a lot more than people think and Football Outsiders did an excellent job of highlighting it last year as a good basis for QB evaluation as well in their 2006 Prospectus. The thing is, most people really have no idea of the process of what makes up a draft grade for a team.

The trickiest part is the evaluation of where other teams value players in order to set a true value on where they need to take a player versus what they pay to get them. It is the real reasoning behind the Reaches and Sleepers in the draft. Denver severely overpaid to get my guy Darius Watts in the second in 2004. However, they were led to believe the Giants would take him in their next pick if they did not grab him there. Now, Watts is on NYG roster and DEN gave up nothing but two years of devlepment and NYG got a guy they like later and free. Draft rumors can screw with teams and DEN has made there share of Blunders there as well. Thank God WAS is so good to them ;D

I noticed Levi Brown is the only sure fire first rounder on the list. ;D
