...ok well I got a panasonic plasma and I have already decided that I want a matching panasonic setup.

Ive got one in mind but there are a few things I want to ask about. This is a "wireless" setup. By wireless do they mean strictly speaker wire wireless or completely wireless requiring batteries?

Also is there any bit of signal delay in wireless speakers? Ive been kinda sold on wireless since you know, the remote control first got rid of its wires and now with keyboards, mice and my 360 controller I like it but I hate buying batteries all the fucking time. Anyway, anyone have wireless speakers that can give some info?

I suggest you call the ****ing store moron. Or try panasonic.com

Also, you should of put the whole system together at one time.

I have always heard bad things about wireless speakers, but I personally don't know too much about it. Try looking at these sites:

Hilarious! A guy is asking for help, and the only thing your concerned about is how he got the F word to show. Awesome!

I just don't ****ing understand how he got it through the filter. I think it's the first time I've seen that happen.

i'm biting my tongue here. Budget dictates all. If your idea of home theatre is 200, then Panasonic is all youll get.

if you care about sound quality don't go wireless or panasonic.

the only "wireless" like speaker i think i'd even suggest would be one of yamaha's YSP speakers, and I those are still borderline.

Let me finish by saying, no one ever got goosebumps on how big the screen is. The sound gave them that tingly feeling.

Wireless requires an amplifier either plugged into a wall or batteries - Good luck.

Don't go wireless. You need power and Amps. I've got a Klipsch setup with an Onkyo 996 driving everything but will be switching to an amp with HDMI switching soon. If you can afford it, don't scrimp on the sound system. It makes as big of a difference as moving from a standard signal to HDTV.

I also believe you are asking the wrong question. When buying AV equipment, just tell people your bottom dollar and ask what the best system you could put together is (then be prepared to spend 10% more).

The best way to look at this is, "what is my best system for $500, $1,000, $2,000, etc." You will get some very good opinions if you state price first.

I agree that great sound is the best feature of a well installed HT system (but having a 100" high def. projection screen doesn't hurt either).

I doubt any wireless speaker is up to snuff just yet.

You just can't get enough power wirelessly over the SPAN of a room. ;)

You really should have went with something besides a plasma, unless money really is no object to you. Burn in is a real problem and the whole 'recharging' thing is a bunch of bunk.

I totally agree on the front projection. We have one in a dedicated HT room and it rocks. Absolutely can't be beat for sports.

Great ****ing choice on the T.V., but bad ****ing idea on the surround sound system.

I'm a Paradigm fan, and they have a ****ing wide range of qualities, but nothing in the 200-500 range for a whole ****ing system. IMO anything is this price range will be piss ****ing poor and do your new T.V. a gross ****ing injustice.

I'm also planning on upgrading my Home entertainment system this summer.
Right now I am leaning on the Pioneer 5070 for the TV.
Debating on the Receiver: Sony STR-DR1000 or the Onkyo TX-SR674.
Speakers are the real debate... Frankly I'm pretty ignorant on how to evaluate a good speaker. My wife is never going let me turn them up too high so I won't need the power, but clarity is important to me. Any suggestions for a budget around 300-500?

to circumnavigate the filter system I will put it this way

a panasonic wireless system will fornicate your anus and is like a fornicating alternate lifestyle.

why drop coin on video only to have tin speakers for sound? run the thickest monster cables u can find and terminate with gold connectors no matter what u buy.

I went cheap on audio going with pioneer elite system over macintosh. I got it 1/2 off for a grand from tweater at end of sales cycle. I am happy with it and saved big bucks

When I posted this I figured some dipshit would mention that. Thing is, what I was specifically looking for an answer to isnt mentioned on the details for sound systems. Does wireless mean completely wireless using batteries or is it just wireless as far as running speaker wires. Im not looking for reviews, I got enough reviews on the system I want.

Do appreciate those that suggest steering clear of wireless systems. Im not sure I need "oomph" since I cant stand watching movies or TV when things get really loud during action scenes and Im always adjusting the volume, I just want the surround sound effect.

Just get a ****ing receiver that has "night mode," it is essentially an audio compressor that will limit the highs and raise the low, quiet moments. You'll be really ****ing happy you did.

But, nothing makes me happy like a ****ing monstrous subwoofer. I have an M&K MX 150 mark II which has dual 12" woofers and will blow your ****ing balls off if your wife doesn't kill you first. It's great when Lynch jacks up a Bengal or two...

Since you don't like loud or booming sound just get you 4 of these and tune them in on the same station and your set.

I haven't looked at their current line, but Paradigm makes freaking amazing speakers for the money. Their high end will be out of your price range, but even their entry level stuff has great response and is quite uncolored, and may be in the upper end of your ball park.

One thing though...Paradigm speakers look like speakers, so if you are looking for modern art or teeny weent satellites that hide in the room, they probably aren't what you are looking for.

****!!
