I think what they mean is that he signed with US.

I clicked his stats over there just looking around and it said he's never forced a fumble. That's the play of his career.

I think those stats count only for regular season.....

Like what Buff said I think they meant the Broncos signed him and now the Pats have a week from yesterday I believe to match if they choose to do so.

New question how long do they have till the deal is done?

One week to match, or the Broncos contract is effective.

I doubt they'll match the deal UNLESS they want something in return. I doubt Shanny would part with a draft pick, but there might be a player they'd want. Chris Myers jumps to mind, or maybe Stephen Alexander. Would that be too much to give up? I don't think so ... Montrae Holland will make the team, as will D. Graham ...

Myers might be expendable, though he is a special teams warrior. He oughtta learn to long-snap if he wants to stay in the league, though.

Can't do that, the contract has a no-trade, if the Pats match they get the exact same deal. So if they match they got to keep him or cut him, no trades.

I think they(Pats) already have a couple of punters on the team already(Miller), I don't see them matching, but with the 'Pats, you never know.......I don't mean to freak out over a punter, but Ernster and the 33 yard punts just aren't cutting it....

I can't see the Pats signing him, just to cut him, if they're so high on Miller.

If you scroll down to Tuesday the 27th you'll see Van Pelt has re-signed with Houston. Good for him.

Poison pill comes to mind with that little issue.

Sarcasm? Or is he a cute fella'? His kicking last year definitely wasn't cute...

While it may have been inconsistent, Ernster pulled out a decent 41 yds per punt... in his last few years Sauerbrun only averaged in the 43-45 rang... I'd say Ernster could still have potential.

A friend of mine went to high school with Sauerbrun and rumored that one night he slept with a girl on the 50 yard line and then spit in her face afterwards. True story! Well, true rumor anyway.
