ROUND 1
Round 1, Pick 21

Adam Carriker
DE, Nebraska
Strengths: Is tough and competitive. Plays with knees bent and uses hands to lock on offensive linemen, get arm extension and hold ground at the point of attack. Shows the speed to chase down running backs when unblocked on the backside. Works hard to make tackles downfield. Shows quick hands to beat offensive linemen with arm-over moves. Showed a variety of pass-rush moves in one-on-one drills at the Senior Bowl. Has ideal size for both strongside 4-3 end and either 3-4 end. ...

ROUND 2
24 (56) Ryan Kalil C USC
Tom Nalen turns 36 in May, and Kalil could play guard in the Broncos' blocking system before Nalen retires.

I wouldn't mind.

that would be pretty solid first rounds, but Kalil may go higher. Then again there are a lot of shills for USC (pat kirwan come to mind) that rate USC players higher then they will really go. Maybe Kalil is a late 2nd rounder and all these mocks that have him going higher are wrong. A lot of what we have to go by is what we read, so we can be inluenced.

I'm sure he has heard of those guys. At this point though Hamilton has been at guard so long he may not slide back to center when Nails hang it up. As far as Eslinger goes we really don't know if he will ever be ready to start. I'm not saying Broncos are likely to draft an interior lineman/center early in the draft, I tend to think they won't. I don't however feel that it's because they are so confident they have Nalens replacement already on the roster. I do feel that they think Nails can play 3 more years so they probably aren't considering it a priority this offseason.

I will freak out if we get Kalil that late! I would be happy with him at 21.

Denver won't take C in round two even if he is there IMO. We allready have centers playing guard.

No way Nalen lasts three more seasons. Why in the hell do you think the Broncos drafted, what, three lineman in the last two drafts?

If Kalil is there for the Broncos to take in the second, jump all over that schit.

It's moot, he won't be there anyway, altho centers don't get alot of love.

So then you think either this is Nalens last yr, or next yr is his last yr.

I'd love those first two rounds, though they're very unlikely.

It could be Nalen's last year...or last year in a broncos uni anyway. Wouldn't surprise me. It would be smart to take Kalil then, but i agree with others, im sure he won't be there

He has 2 years left here so he'll either see both those out or retire at the end of this season. He will never play for another team. He signed a really cheap contract last offseason for the calibre player he is. Bronco through and through.

HA can you imagine the Bucs taking JaMarcus Russell?? Then they would have Simms, Gradkowski, Garcia, Plummer, And Russell??

I don't understand why they are so QB crazy, Didn't Gradowski play pretty well for a rookie last year? Didn't Simms play well before he got hurt? I'm thinking Grunden is running out of time so he can't wait for these QBs to develop.
