I actually try to read through a whole thread from page one so I don't repeat what was said and so I can post something in flow with the thread.

I will say seeing that -Slap-, SoCal, Alec, Wabbit or Old Dude have posted recently usually motivates me to click a thread. Alec, because he usually shakes things up when he posts (for better or for worse) and Old Dude because he posts so sparingly and when he does, it's usually really good.

Old Dude gave me my first rep and was the first poster that I read and thought "hey, he's a pretty smart guy" when I first joined the Mane and was learning things. I remember it was a thread where everyone was ripping Kubiak and I made a post mentioning that I thought Kubiak was pretty good, and that I was shocked people hated him so. His rep said something to the effect of "people don't like him here" or something and I thought that was cool.

Ahh, memories. 8')

Yeah, especially on draft and cap things. Requiem is really showing his stuff on draft stuff as well lately.

You know, I think it depends on what the subject is. For example if there is a thread that is ripping on Chief fans, I cannot miss something Spider has added. Hilarious!

If I remember correctly Mock was the one who started the anti Kubes campaign with the creation of the term Nintendo Offense.

I know Mock did hate it, but I'm pretty sure that was SoCal, Taco or someone else. the five wide set certainly didn't have many fans, that's for sure. I think the term "Nintendo" was appropriate for some of those plays.

I read all of the posts usually on a thread I like. But if I see wabbits name on the a thread, that thread will take priority over the other threads. I usually wont skip other post and go directily to him. I read everthing in order most of the times. Sometimes I do read back to front. Mock gives flavor to the board. I remember missing him when he was suspended. Dont let it go to your head now Mock. Heav,Herc,Eddie, spider, req, ratboy,Alec,Socal,Garci aB,Atlas and anybody else with cute chicks on thier avatars:). Plus some others I cant think of right now. One thing I like about this board is that most of the time everybody will post what I was thinking before I get a chance to. So it gives my hands a rest and I can devote my hands to something more usefull like :kubiak: So all you people are contributing to my bad habit:)

That sounds about like mine, except for Alec. Always Slap, Wabbit, Old Dude, and lately Drek. But semtimes people are gone awhile so I'll pay close attention when they post - like Popps or Pat Bowlen. I still miss ClevelandBronco, and even LABF and SteveTensi13. Herc is always good to read, mostly because he's a minimalist ... he says very little, but it's usually interesting/valuable. I suppose Alec is interesting, cause you never know which Alec it's gonna be ... Angry Alec, Contemplative Alec, Newly engaged Alec, Dirty Alec, Daddy Alec, Docile Alec or Techie Alec ... (I'll bet he secretly flushes his lithium down the toilet :~ohyah!:).

But, in response to the other posts here - I agree, I read at least the first sentence or two of all of them, but if the thred isn't interesting or has jumped the shark, I don't hesitate to zip down to the bottom before getting out. Especially in the WARRP Room.

Old Dude gave me my first rep and was the first poster that I read and thought "hey, he's a pretty smart guy" when I first joined the Mane and was learning things.
Was he old back then too ... or just middle-aged? :~ohyah!:

Although I guess there's different criteria ... I wasn't counting guys who feel like my buddies - Dom, Atlas, Jens, Dagmar, BMF, you Khan ... I read the buddies because they're the buddies - not because I expect them to have anything interesting/valuable to say ;D

And to be honest, lately I gravitate to Clayton Wendler becaue of the Steve Sewell war ... he's such a pansy. Clayton? Stand up like a man and ask Steve for some alternative penance (if it's too late now) ... at least be an "honorable pansy," and simply sign up under a new User Name. If you gotta cheat, at least don't draw attention to yourself.

Actually, now that I look around, there so many more .... it's impossible to narrow it down! I could list another dozen easy .... Rhymesayers might actually be my Top 3 - Clockwork Orange and TREDICI too! And where is anthonypacino lately?

Plus ALL the Buffs - Rohirrim, Master, SureShot, Nuggets4, Jens, there's so many more posters than it seems ... a lot more. This place is kinda like high school. There's 300 kids around, but it seems smaller - more cozy.

I admit I do like to watch in wonder (horror?) while people firefight and flame Taco John, even though he never seems to antagonize them in any meaningful way. What did Slap say, "it must suck to hate women"? Well, it must suck to hate authority figures, too.

After the draft hoopla dies down, I sure hope Slap updates his "Ten Worst Posters" thread .... I need a laugh.

I was raised Catholic, you see ...I am a Christian, but I love to joke around. Unless you really think I am addicted to masturbation and believe every perverted thing I say is the truth then I see your point. But I thought it was kind of obvious I was joking around. Ever since I started that thread "I am addicted to masturbation and need help" along time ago I thought I would keep that character going every now and then.

I read whole threads and ALL of the posters.

Posters are like stock and their value increases and decreases over time. Right now my stock is in the toilet.

I listed about 50 posters that I read who were good posters. Right now for football Drek is hitting on all cylinders. I disagree with Big Guy a lot lately but it's not because he's wrong. Listopencil is still on point for defense.

Mediator12, Wabbit, Heav, Kaylore, and many of the "informed" are often interesting points of view.

Slap, Taco John, Atlas, Socal Bronco, Tredici, Meck77, Alec, Bajafan, Dom Casual, El Sid, Fotaine, Arkie, Ames, (before the sex change operation) and Old Dude are consistent. There are at least 30 posters I left out.

Mock was posting like a god for three weeks and then Mock fall down.

Sassy, Mtnbronco, smalltowngrill, Blueflame all post some pretty interesting stuff even though they are are ewey and gooey.

I salute all my military brothers in arms. God speed Missing7.

Naptown Chief is one of the only Chiefs posters I respect.

RaiderBill and Maximus are doing a great job representing a really bad team.

400Mhz is actually a decent Chargers poster.

There are easily 100 posters here who have made contributions to the Orangemane. If I didn't name you and you think you contribute and I've ever repped up just post up here. I would like to thank you for your posts!

I'm not very good with stuff like this, because I'm sure I will forget someone. And it'll end up being someone I would have put at the top of the list, had I been thinking. And then I will feel horrible, and pull the shades, and curl up in the fetal position under my desk, and I'll want to cry, but my tear ducts will be barren because they just. won't. cry. anymore.

So with that risk, here is a non-all-inclusive list: Spider (crazy bastard); Slap (despite, and maybe because of his sometimes acerbic nature); clavicalsolomonhertzelshmertzel (because he's a nice guy with strange but interesting insights :) ); Khan (we Mormons have to stick together); ludo (little punk); Hotrod (funny!); Big Guy (another nice guy, with good insight); Old Dude (sick, sick man); Tredici (wery smart, witty lady person); Pez (bastard!); Rhymes (I covet his jersey collection); quiettiger (good guy with good insight - although the gay poll was a head-scratcher ;) ); BroncoBuff (an enigma!); TheDave (crap stirrer extraodinaire); wabbit (for the obvious reasons); heydensmom (Where's Aaaaandray?); Ark, Dag, CBS, and ApaOp (next year, we shall prevail!); Pat Bowlen (I almost always laugh at his posts); and Gunns (fellow Utahn - misery loves company).

The answer to the original question is: no one. Generally I dont bother reading through an entire thread. I get about 10 posts in and most everything has been said about the topic by then and the rest is just bickering and/or rehashing so whoever posts first in teh thread generally gets a read.

Some threads I never even open regardless of who posted in there. Some threads I dont read at all but just toss in a grenade and leave the thread never to reopen it to see any replies (gunns should be familiar with that tactic, I used it at ESPN during my transitional period from there to here).

Some threads I do read everything, depending on the thread subject and initial posts. This thread kept me entertained all the way through for example. I was actually rather surprised some people included me in their list. Dont flatter yourselves, Im not including you because you included me. Thats not how it works asshole.

I gotta say that when Im feeling frisky, I do like to go tango with Slappy. Few on this board give me as much pleasure arguing with than Slap.

Quiettiger, you get props from me becasue you basically pulled me out of my lurking and into posting. I posted something regarding the running game, and when you repped me for it, it kinda validated the idea that I may be able to contribute.

Now tha I think about it, there are everal posters that can draw me into a thread, even if the subject doesn't seem like something I'd contrinute to. Mediator, socal, popps,Baja, Garcia, Rorhimm, Elsid12, Tredici.

I used to try and read mocks posts because you never knew what to expect, but who has that kind of time anymore.

You are one of those rising star posters that make sense. Triplelefthook is and up and comer. I can't believe I forget Rorhirrim. Requim has been putting up some solid posts. I forgot Rhymes? Hogan? Racal? Arkansas Bronco? Where has Nuggets4Life been? Spider and his small village. Orange4life has been gone a long time. Ludo21 is a good poster. What about the Orange pimp? Ak471?

Kamakazee Kai is a good poster.

Whatever happened to Humalau?

I know I'm forgetting posters but like Tredici said wordy bastiges get skimmed.

Remember it takes a whole village to screw up a perfectly good poster.

I went in order by number of posts for that.

I forget Hehdensmom? TheDave? Dag? ApaOp? Pat Bowlen? Gunn? Hotrod?

Whose this Clavicasolomonisdefibrilator guy?

Gay thread: I get called a homophobe a lot just because I don't hang out with gays! Go figure.

Pure Broncos Talk:
Lots of people have great contributions and have been listed. I started posting here during training camp last year and Khans reports are what got me to check back regularly. Wabbit, Big Guy, Tredici, Alec, SoCal, Atlas, Kaylore, Quiettiger, Hogan, and many more.

For fun talk:
Old Dude, Ludo, Dom, Arakansa, cbs1177, Dags, and everyone else who played survivor I had a blast reading.

I do hold a special place in my heart for Mock. Yeah he is crazy and says just utterly mundane things but his random tangents of nothingness has actually brought tears to my eyes from laughing.

What, are you running for homecoming queen or head of the glee club? Thats just WEAK!!!

Mock already beat me to the self-grandizing post of "I read all my stuff - cant get enough of it" so I will that alone.

I dig Slap and Alec - I wonder if they are so sarcastic in reality. I enjoy Patswins. He could be the best sports fan in the northeast, and thats saying something. Garcia is pretty cool - until this quoted post. I enjoy Circle Orange - maybe its just those wacky avatars. Man, there are too many to list; Khan, Mock (well, not all the stuff), Spider (learn english, man!), Wabbit, Atlas.

The best rival posters are Bolts fans. Maybe its cuz their team has been irrelevant for so long that the majority of the posters are real knowledgeable football fans instead of vapor-brained smack talkers. Conversely, the worst group of rival posters are KC fans - possibly cuz there are so many vapor-brained smack talkers driven by the long rivalry between the 2 teams. Even then, there are a few I like and make a point to read.

Alright, I expect Rep from all of you now.

If Bob had the integrity to honor his bets, we wouldn't need to put him on ignore ... or scroll rapidly past his inane "red-and-yellow-shades-induced" ramblings. To be sure, had Steve Sewell been the one who lost that bet, Bob would have been insistent on his absence from the Mane for the full duration of the time allotment decreed by the bet.

At any rate, as time allows, I try to read everything on the Mane, with particular attention to the posts of the "insiders" who have given us great insights in the past.

Yeah...at one point in a fit a curiosity I asked Clayton why he welched on a bet...and he responded that he is one of the most trustworthy posters on the 'mane. .

While TJ's stance on mods not enforcing bets is clearly right...perhaps Blue...you could change Wendler's user name to something like "Baloney T!ts".

It's funny, and apropos.

How come he just doesn't get a mandatory ban for the rest of the bet from a mod? I know he should honor his own bets but if he can't then he is disrespecting the board and should be punished justly.

It's about precedent. People on this forum make all kinds of bets, and it never fails at least once a year I get someone with a chapped ass about someone else not honoring the bet they made for cash, or goods or whatever. Once I start enforcing this person's bet, then the next person wants to come to me to enforce their bet.

Bottom line, it's not our job to enforce honor. Bets are between individuals. If you make a bet and put yourself on the line against someone who has no honor, that's up to you... I can't be responsible for the bets that gets made on this board.

What happens when the tables are turned, and one of my friends here loses a bet like this but they've started a new account to post with? It's happened, and I took the same tact... It's not my job to enforce their bet.

It's actually amusing that the Chef offense would eventually wind up in Al Davis walkers. It just took a bit longer than we anticipated. The Chorfs actually had a window if the idiot King Karl hadn't made ZERO additions to the defense after a 13-3 season that ended with a one and out due to their crap defense.

And that makes perfect sense. Actually I am not sure why I didn't even think of that before I posted. I will just resort to ridicule of Bobo for his lack of honor.

One welched bet might be a fluke... two is a pattern and he's clearly shown that not only is he not "one of the most trustworthy posters on the 'mane", but that his word is worthless. A man who has no honor really doesn't have anything of value, even as the board's "comic relief".

Yeah, a mod could change his username... but that probably should be TJ's decision. Bob's own actions have shown precisely what he is, though... and his reputation has slid lower than whale dung. In a way, it's even more appropriate that he should have to continue to wear the name he dishonored.

You are a good poster. :strong: There are a lot of quality posters that you don't realize are good posters until you look up and it's like where did that go?

Broncoman13 is another example. Him and his Oskie! That was kind of fun.

The Reverend always seems to bring the devil out in people.

Ratboy is someone that is appreciated even though I drive him nuts.

Crushaholic always has a good take on things. He's like SoCal a really decent guy who posts up when it suits him.

Pendejo can be such a Pendejo at times but it's funny. I like his take on Donks versus Broncos. Good point.

Dr. Broncenstein was ripping it up one offseason talking much trash. Good poster.

loborugger gets rep just because another decent poster.

I realize that the 1st of the bet welchers was in fact CB24. Or at least I think thats when it started. For that reason, I thought you were somewhat justified in not having to back your bet. I mean, if he doesn't have to, why should you.

Of course, I would personally have just quit betting in the 1st place if they weren't going to honor it. But thats me. But when Atlas says you accepted $50 on a bet, that changes things a bit.

If what Atlas says is true, you owe him 50 bucks. An apology would be too little too late. Pay Atlas his 50 bucks and quit betting. That would be the best way to redeem yourself.

Thats low, man.
