So my girlfriend, who works there, just shot me a text message. "Who is Pat Bowlin?" (Her misspelling)
I respond that it's the owner of the Broncos. She goes "Oh, well he's here."
I personally told her to tell him to bring back the orange jerseys. But if you want, feel free to go pester him about season tickets, fur coats, or whatever you want.

I was down in Cherry Creek eating at North last season and in walks Shanny. I sat right across from him and I know I must have looked like and ass because I just kept staring. I was conscious of it too but couldn't stop. I bet those two get that a lot here in town.

Heck no. I love living here. I'll make several games, though. We have a direct flight there...easy weekend trip! Tailgate with my maner friends!! ;) Those games I can't make it to, well I'd sell the tickets to my fellow bronco fans...like Jana! ^5

You guys will probably get a kick out of this story. My girl called me when she got off and told me about Bowlen.
Pat Bowlen: When Name Dropping Goes Wrong
He called this afternoon, and one of the hostesses answered the phone. He needed a 7 PM reservation, but the Grill was booked solid. The girl tells him this. He responds "I'm Pat Bowlen." The girl tells him she doesn't recognize the name, and that they didn't have any reservations. He goes a step further, and says "I'm Pat Bowlen, of the Broncos." Girl still doesn't have a clue (and tells him as much), but agrees to squeeze him in at 7:15.
Fast forward to the night. The Grill is on a 45 minute wait. Bowlen comes in, gets sat. Somebody goes up to the girl and goes "So we have to wait for half an hour, but Pat Bowlen gets a seat?" The girl responds "I still have no idea who that is!" and the guy finally explains to her who he was.
I thought it was hysterical that Bowlen was dropping his own name and getting shot down. Typical girl, I suppose. (Sorry Tred, and others!)
Interesting side note, my girl tells me just now "I hate when people ask for special treatment. OK, Pat Bowlen is rich, awesome." This led to an argument. I told her, if Pat Bowlen wants to eat there, you sit him immediately. Owning the Broncos isn't just being another rich guy. She finally conceded the point.

I am glad Pat Bowlen is our team's owner, but I probably wouldn't care to spend a day with him even if I was worth billion dollars and was a member of his country club.

Well, that was about 10 years ago, Cherry Creek is still Cherry Creek, but I can't say I was a yuppie. I guess the only thing I can say is I was trying hard to be a yuppie, but I failed miserable...Hilarious!
