Look at the departures for the Broncos..the inclusion of Nash and Williams... is it me or is that a little grim and tasteless?

Why is it tasteless? This is a business and they run a website that fans want to see accurate information. Williams and Nash are unfortunately no longer part of the team so they have to be included in the departures.

you're right, I don't like it either. Also, it says "comings and goings in the AFC since free agency began on March 2". Both of them passed away before the 2nd of March, so don't fall in there.

This is the same site that we didn't have the cap room to sign more than one name agent.

I don't see why that's distasteful. Sad to look at but true.

Scroll through all the teams. Denver and New England had by far the best offseason of anyone. I'd say we edge New England, though.

It summarizes who is no longer with the Broncos just to help understand rosters, depth charts, etc. It's not meant to be harmful, just true.

As much as we all are saddened by D-Will's passing, the practicality is that he has to be replaced which is the whole purpose of the Bly trade.

Losing Williams and Nash is harsh. I have a question for you guys that isn't meant to be tasteless by any means: Way back when, the Chargers lost a RB (can't even remember his name now) in that Jet Blue plane crash over the everglades. Despite the fact that he was dead, he still counted against the salary cap.

Anyone know if the NFL has fixed that error?

Rodney Culver was the player - and, the NFL has NOT, to my knowledge, modified its policy. One of the players the Raiders drafted a year or two ago died after signing his contract and he counted.

Yes, Culver! Thanks. Quality dude, and a young player. That's atrocious the NFL hasn't fixed that. How can you count a guy that's no longer alive? They should even think about some sort of waiver for injured guys... Does LeCharles Bentley count against Cleveland's cap after signing a mega deal and then missing the next two seasons?
