Please post your mock draft picks for the Broncos. We all know that they will do something, either trade up or trade down, so feel free to post you trades too.
I hope this is fun and we get good feed back from others.
Here is mine:
1st round
Jarviss Moss DE Florida
2nd round
Tony Ugoh OT Arkansas
3rd round
Brandon Mebane DT Cal
Darius Walker RB Notre Dame
6th round
Daren Stone S Maine
Nathan Bennett OG Clemson
7th Round
Legedu Naanee WR Boise State
And when Jake shows up in Tampa:
4th Round
Quincy Black LB New Mexico
Trades
I think they might possibly try to trade one of those 3rd rounders and #21 to either the Jags or the Steelers for their pick to try and get Carriker. Also they might shoot their wad and go after Willis.....
Thanks....

As the 2007 league year began on Friday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had two targets in mind in regards to their quarterback position. They hit both of them.
In addition to signing coveted free agent Jeff Garcia on Saturday, the Buccaneers have also acquired the rights to former Bronco Jake Plummer, who has three years remaining on his current contract. Tampa Bay sent an undisclosed pick in the 2008 NFL Draft to Denver for the Broncos’ all-time leader in passer rating.

FROM BURGER BILL'S ARTICLE:
If Plummer reports to Tampa Bay before the April 28-29 draft, the Bucs would owe Denver a fourth-round pick this year. If Plummer reports after the draft but before the 2008 draft, Denver would get a fourth-rounder that year. If Plummer doesn't report by then, Denver will get a seventh-rounder in 2008.

Very nice. My only real complaint is that I'd prefer to get a first day DE out of this deep class, and I'd like for us to get a late 1st/early 2nd day LB to develop on STs and replace Gold in a year or two.
Maybe trade back from 56 for an early 3rd and 4th, get a DE with the 3rd rounder pick and Gattis/Wendling/Piscatelli with the fourth.
Really hoping Williamson isn't blowing smoke out his ass and the Bucs can talk Jake into showing up. I'd really like that high 4th this season.

Mine's was serious. You think the Broncos are gonna dick around with an extra $10m in cap space currently sitting in their back pocket??? We are going to trade for at least 1 if not 2 current NFL players before or during the draft. Mark my words.

I would trade down with chicago and pick up their second rounder and swap first rounders.
1. Brandon Merriweather
2. Demarcus Tyler
2b. Quentin Moses
3a. James Marten
3b. Dan Bazuin

Why would you want to take Meriweather in light of the new conduct rules that are likely to include team penalties for teams that take players and can't keep them out of trouble. Spend a number on on a guy who will be suspended and the team penalized a draft choice or cap space?

Merriweather's problem was on the field. I think that is alot different than getting in trouble off the field. He got emotional and did something stupid on the football field.

I'm sure Eslinger would get a chance to beat out Myers in camp, and I do believe he can still spend another year or two on the PS. We're going to need some interior OL on there to cover our ass in case of multiple injuries.
Its trade heavy but really, that is when Shanahan and Sundquist do their best in the draft, when they trade picks for starting quality NFL players and then use the left overs to move up or down to get guys they like. Its better than the old strategy of taking guys they like in succession regardless of how others ranked them, resulting in many gross over picks.

It's a gut feeling phibacka. The Broncos never create excessive cap room unless they really need it. Infact Denver always uses every cent right down to the cap level basically which is why I think something's afoot. They currently have approx $9m in cap room after the Big Daddy trade voided. The draft class will cost approx $3-$4m and Bly's new deal should save another $1m plus. So in hindsight we're looking at approx $6-$7m of available cap space. Shanahan will use that on someone and most likely via a trade. They still need another big body in the middle and my money's on a move for Rogers or Grady Jackson.

This is what I think the Broncos might do, not what I would do.
21. Anthony Spencer, DE, Purdue
56. David Harris, LB, Mich.
70. Aundrae Allison, WR, E. Carolina
86. John Wendling, S, Wyo.
176. Mike Otto, T, Purdue
198. David Ball, WR, New Hampshire
233. Cameron Stephenson, OG, Rutgers
