The Gals aren't included in this poll....or do you want to know our preference for our guy! LOL!

I think that falls in line with option #3.

Why not? I'm sure the single guys will appreciate the perspective. We married guys either don't care or have been beaten into submission to the point that our wives tell us what to wear anyway. ;D

Boxer briefs. It's the only way to go. My stuff won't fit comfortably in tighty-whiteys and flops out the legs if I wear boxers.

She'd let everyone snatch a glimpse of what she prefers to wear.

I had one hottie for awhile that wouldn't let me wear underwear under my jeans off work, and cut a hole in the right pocket for her amusement.

After 20 years of boxers, I just changed back to briefs 3 months ago.

I do like those european briefs though. Boxer briefs are my main day to day wear. I don't own a single pair of briefs any more. by the way why is it called a pair of briefs?

I think it all started with "pair of pantaloons". Then pants. Then shorts. Then briefs.

<small> We've heard it's because pants and shorts have two legs. But shirts have two sleeves, and you don't have a "pair of shirts." Hmm, so much for that theory.
According to The Mavens' Word of the Day (http://www.randomhouse.com/wotd/index.pperl?date=20010814), pants in the plural form is an Americanism first recorded in 1840. The word is short for pantaloons, a term that originated with a character in Italian commedia dell'arte who wore both stockings and breeches.
World Wide Words (http://www.worldwidewords.org/qa/qa-pai1.htm) states that these types of clothing (pants, underwear, shorts, tights -- or the equivalent terms for them) were made in two parts. One part for each leg, then belted in the middle, somewhat like chaps on cowboys. Over time, they ended up as one piece of clothing, but the habit of referring to the old "pair" persisted.
This reference isn't universal, however. The clothing industry often uses the singular form of pant, but not consistently. So pick your favorite, singular or plural -- you'll still put them on one leg at a time.

Depends on the pants you are wearing. Jeans you can freeball, wear briefs or boxers. Slacks its usually best to wear briefs. Khakis, boxers. Shorts, briefs. Then you have jock straps and compression shorts. It gets complicated.
