Shanahan:
"And I can see where I'd be happy, too, if I had that going back home. But he wasn't traded to Washington for what- ever reason. I didn't make that decision. (Detroit's) Matt Millen did. ... And most people when they come to Denver, they don't want to leave. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a deal done with Dré Bly before the season starts. If it doesn't work out that way, I wouldn't be surprised if he wants to stay with us after he plays with us for a year."

Contract talks with Bly have not begun in earnest.

Mind you, Burger Bill wrote that TODAY.

It's not just comical, it's dowright pathetic.

Bly has to be thrilled to take on the challenge that was voided by the late DWill...Folks, we haven't ever had a tandem of hands at corner like this for, well...maybe ever.

I'm all for going DL like the rest of you, but that Griffin you-tube had me salivating. You know that teams are going to test our secondary in the middle and avoid our pro bowl corners...having a beast that reminds me of Atwater would be the final piece. Teams would be terrified to throw on us, in particular, Mellon Head and Tom Terrific.

I think I have a new draft man crush...

We should start a thread to guess Burger Bill's handle here on the Mane because clearly this is where he gets his info. Hell sometimes he doesn't ever bother to change the wording of the stuff he steals...

OOPS I misread the post I though he said this;

"And I can see where I'd be happy, too, if I had that going back home. But he wasn't traded to Washington for what- ever reason. I didn't make that decision. (Detroit's) Matt Millen did. ... That was Shanny giving a hint that if things didn't work out, they might after the year...Burger Bill is totally and utterly cluless...even I can read that quote. Shanny isn't going to tell the media that we are "desperately trying to sign Bly" but the assertion by Burger Bill is like in left field when those among us that have learned to somewhat read thru Shanny have a clue even from afar.

The idiot would be better off just to read Shanahan's own quotes. He said that Bly would be happy here now or after the season...and that fat idiot didn't even pick up on it.

Why did the Denver Post think this hack was a viable replacement for The Schefter. Man he is a pathetic writer.

How can the idiot miss that? He doesn't even have a fundamental understanding of Shanahanese, but we kinda can see clules.

In all fairness, Shanny holds his cards before playing them, which is fine with me. Keep Al at this point. He still might be a draft day move tho.

I think I might start the website: fireburgerBill.com. I would rather put up with listening to Joe Williams on the fan to hear what Jim Armstrong says than read Burger Bill. That is saying a lot.

Well, Louie Wright and whoever........

I watched Louis play, and Simon Fletcher...two players that for whatever reason didn't get much respect from Danny Reeves. I guess that isn't a big surprise when he tried to ship off Elway and install Maddox. I shudder to think of the meltdown the OM would of gone thru if it existed like it does today. It would be like trading Cutler for Brenda Cryole.

Wright was a great cover corner, but he couldn't lay wood like Bailey, and while he would make some picks, nothing like Champ being our only goal line defense last year.

Anyone else find it sad that Shefter left and was replaced by Bill yet who continues to break the real stories? Adam Schefter! So Schefter can still break stories from NFLN-land yet ol' Bill from right there in Denver is lost in some alleyway drinking ketchup from the bottle.

Say what you want about that Bronco hating PFT but at least he sniffs around. I keep having this vision of Burger Bill on the can with his laptop covering his junk reading the OM for his "scoop"...and it's not a pretty vision.

Considering we have continually raked this clown over the coals after a very brief honeymoon, it says something that I don't believe ANYONE has come to his defense. I also feel like we we gave him a fair chance.

OK...I'll say it...Schefter irritated me with his self pity and food reviews, but at least he would do a fair share of reporting.

While I'm at it, I would also like to welcome Woody back. I didn't realize he was just playing the court jester. (many people don't know this, but the jester, while playing the fool, was one of the most influential players/advisors to the king..kinda like a rodeo clown for a cowboy in a sense). Actually, they were bodyguards as well.
