Most of this article you already know about, I did find it interesting that they reduced Nalens fine for the hit on Olshansky. I thought it was BS in the first place. It was not illegal.

The Broncos and Peter Schaffer, the agent for linebacker Al Wilson, are expected to talk later in the week about Wilson's status. ... While the Broncos would like to open the regular season at home for the first time in three years, television scheduling may make it tough. It appears the only way Denver opens at home is with an NFC opponent, Green Bay or Minnesota. The schedule is expected to be released in early April. The Broncos will not play in a Thanksgiving Day game for the first time since 2004. ... Center Tom Nalen had a fine reduced on appeal from $25,000 to $15,000. Nalen was fined after a scrap with San Diego's Igor Olshansky on Nov. 19. ... The Broncos weren't one of 16 teams to get one of 32 compensatory draft picks. The picks are based on free agents lost from the previous year.

Guess they looked and saw the dirty sh*t Olshansky was pulling before that play.

Are you kidding me? Nalen is a cheap shot piece of ****. He clearly dove at Olshansky's knees on a play that everybody knew was going to be a spike, especially the center.

Nalen probably wouldn't have been fined if Olshansky hadn't just undergone surgury on the knee that Nalen decided to hit.

Nalen probably wouldn't have been fined if Olshansky wasn't a whiny little bitch.
I agree.

I agree.
Everyone here would still be bitching if somebody took a cheap shot at Wilson's neck or Rod Smith's hip or something similar.

The stadium was rocking, the clock was ticking and Nalen told NFL Network that he thought the play was audibled by Plummer.
Sounds reasonable to me... besides... he barely even touched the guy. The 15k fine is still WAY too high.

Whatever, he'll take the fine and then club him in the head next time.

So pro-athletes expect others to be easier on them because they had surgery? Incase, Babyshanky didn't know, football is a violent sport with a risk of serious injury on every play.
If he doesn't relish it, he should take up ping pong instead.

I think it does. Olshansky had just undergone arthoscopic surgury on his knee and Nalen tried to dive on it during a nonplay. I'm not an NFL player, but I'm sure those guys do some studying up on who they are lining up against. There wasn't an audible trying to get put in during that play, and the stadium looked half empty on TV. Nalen was bent over right in front of the QB anyways. He would have heard an audible if there had been one. Denver's O line doesn't exactly have a sterling record when it comes to playing clean anyways ie Lepsis dislocating Jamal William's ankle 10 yards behind the play.
