I didn't know banning smoking was of such importance to people. I say ban it from all places but home and car. I kid, I kid!

Yeah as a libertarian myself I like the government to stay out of my choices as much as possible but in some cases I can see why bans need to be in place as well on certain levels. I am what you would call a tweener!

of course some bans are good , but when you start interfering with personal decisions , like who people can sleep with , smoke , drink , etc.... you crossed the line .....

I think Bush might as well have come out with a wheel barrow full of shovels with the names of the top Democrats on the handle and told them that this is the place to start digging. Apparently there's something here, or he'd have just sent Tony Snow out to give his statement. That's a really wierd "emergency" press conference for the president to call like that.

Plus, it's hard for him to paint this as a partisan issue like he's trying, when the Senate voted 94-2 to limit his ability to hire and fire further US prosecutors.

Welcome to the next 2 years.

Agreed. Once I heard about it, and the fact that is was an "emergency" press conference, AND the way he handled it, I'm guessing something is definitely up. This is going to get interesting. And yep, the map has been drawn...dman
