I know this is a weird request, but I recently heard Bud Grant is dead. I googled his name and even came across a "dead or alive?" web site that says he's alive.

Anyone know for sure?

Everything I've seen says he's still kicking, but I'm not 100% sure.

Thx.

Yup, that's him. Doesn't say he's dead . . .

Please let me know if you know for sure (weird, I know).

If he's alive, he'll be 80 in May. I haven't seen anything to say he died. I remember him in his second go-around as an NFL coach. He was a heck of a coach...

Wikipedia would mention if he had died.

I'd conclude he's not publicly dead. He was never a media whore so is probably living quietly out of the limelight. I'm sure the Vikings would announce it if it were true.

Yup, IMDB says he's still alive . . .

I'll see what the Vikes say.

Moops, he's alive. NFL Films just did an update on him two years ago.

More amazing is Lou Saban, who is still alive at 86. With all of the stress that that old buzzard put on his ticker, it's amazing he is still kicking.

My college buddy Fantasy football trophy is called the Lou Saban Trophy.

Old Stoneface is, by most accounts, a pretty friendly guy away from the football field.

He's alive. I saw him in October. He comes to my hometown every year to hunt and its a pretty big deal. He's in the Goosefest hall of fame.

Reportedly, he still has an office at HornHead Headquarters. He's sometime seen wandering the halls but he's so intimidating that noone dares to see if he's real or a apparition. Honestly, he has such Godlike status up here that it pales in comparison to Da Ditka.

You don't get more old school than Bud...fine coach, and fine man. Retired and dedicated himself to the persuit of exterminating Northern Pike, one at a time. Dunno what those fish did to piss him off, but you don't want to be on Bud's bad side.

He's reportadly caught at least one fish in all 10,000 lakes in Minnesota. He carves them into sushi and eats them bones and all. He once came across Paul Bunyon's Ox and knocked it out with his flyrod.

I was looking to interview him for a story and someone told me don't bother, he's sporting the same pair of shoes...

I hadn't heard that he was dead so I wanted to find out for sure.
