Jamaal Anderson!
Got it from PFW chat on espn.com. But you have to have insider to view it. Here's the Broncos part:
Jake (Burbank CA): Do you see the broncos staying put at #21 in the draft, or do you think Shanahan will do what he does best and somehow find a way to move up in the draft!? Thanks!
SportsNation Eric Edholm: They are always an interesting team to watch on draft day because they usually make smart moves. The extra picks make them a big player. They clearly need OL, secondary and D-line help, so if a highly ranked guy slides into the 10-13 range, they might get on the phones.
Brian (Erie PA): Hey Eric, I miss you doing your show w/ Chico.. Anyway, what have you thought about the moves the Broncos have made so far? I think Henry will easily get 1400 yards.. And which DE will be there in the first round for them to take? Carriker or J. Moss, or Reggie Nelson if he falls??
SportsNation Eric Edholm: As do I. Chico is a great guy. We stay in touch. Talked to Bob Sanders for him at the SB about Erie. Still says he comes back and visits a lot. Anyway. I think the Broncos have been smart, for the most part. I didn't care for Tatum Bell or George Foster, so they did OK there. I think they will get a solid end in the draft, maybe Anthony Spencer from Purdue. And lower in the draft, keep an eye on Ikaika Alama-Francis, raw pass rusher from Hawaii, they might like.
SportsNation Eric Edholm: Broncos also love Jamaal Anderson, though they would have to move up to get him.

I heard they were really impressed with Calvin Johnson too. I also heard a rumor that they thought Gaines Adams would be a solid guy.

yea no biggie. But anyways, I don't know too much about Jamaal Anderson but I've seen several sources that have him ranked higher than Gaines Adams. Who would you prefer?

They will have to deal with mock...I own Anderson's rights via the mock draft, even tho I stumbled onto him...well, three...Still, Anderson, Hughes, Pittman and Beck are pretty damn good choices IMO.
I'm sure Denver will be working the phones. I don't understand this draft a WR crap...Jay can pound a ball into double coverage on a laser...we need DL help this year, at least two or three if Wilkerson passes on his deal.

If Maylock's ratings mean anything Anderson could be there at 21. I think he had him as the 5th DE. Also remember, he is likely a strong side DE which means folk will think he is a bust because he won't get 20 sacks a year from that position.

Anderson won't be there past 8.
Listing prospects alphabetically isn't all that productive.

Ill tell you who the broncos move up target is
after the draft:yayaya:
The Broncos move up target, if in fact that is the plan, is to move up only for a sweet deal only to than trade back down for another sweet deal thus enhancing their draft power.
can not believe that guys get paid to say stuff like that and pretend like they did some in-depth research and investigating...everyone gives bill w. here such a hard time but he is just like the majority of sports guys out there...teams are very good at masking their plans and keeping things quiet and so they just speculate and state the obvious like the rest of us.

Well gee guys, it's not like there haven't been any rumors of Denver looking to move up. 2+2=Jamaal Anderson's a real possibility.
Anderson would be badass. I think we need a power end more than a rush end, and Anderson is one of the best to come out recently.

I jsut don't see the Broncos with enough to trade up that high. I do like Anthony Spencer, so glad his name was mentioned at #21.

I want a DT. Why it is that people think we can fix our line by bringing in a DE is beyond me.

If Maylock's ratings mean anything Anderson could be there at 21. I think he had him as the 5th DE. Also remember, he is likely a strong side DE which means folk will think he is a bust because he won't get 20 sacks a year from that position.
Mayock has had him as the #1 for a long time now!!!
Anderson just completed his pro-day... Not bad!!!
Jamaal Anderson DE Anderson (284 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.75 and 4.80. He also had a 9-foot-8 long jump, 32½-inch vertical jump, 4.22 short shuttle, 6.88 three-cone drill and 22 bench presses.
FYI, Keith Jackson (jr.) ran his 40 in 4.85. Not bad for a 305 lb DT. He's a little on the short side, but a great motor and great bloodlines!

I think we trade up and take a Will, leaving both Anderson and Carriker on the board.

Yesterday on the "Path to the Draft" he had him 5th. Behind Adams, Moss, Carriker

i agree when i see tape of anderson. i see a guy who cant get around the corner . anderson also doesnt have a very good first step imho. he also seemed to disappeard when he played upper acc opponents. out of all the DE in the draft i think anderson is the biggest risk to be a bust. now Gaines Adam i like the best and he fit more of the bates DE. i would like for shanny to stay at 21 and take moss whos the same type player as gaines. imho gaines adams and J.moss are the two best DE for bates system

I like Anthony Spencer at #21 most right now (Carriker gone). Harrel looks nice in round two. Jason Hill and CJ Gaddis in the third. OL on Sunday.

Anderson will play the strong side like Carriker, Crowder and Johnson which means they won't get the sack numbers everyone thinks DEs should get.
SportsNation Eric Edholm: Broncos also love Jamaal Anderson, though they would have to move up to get him.
Blah blah blah, Denver loves him, BUT it does NOT say we are targeting him. Man you guys are out of your minds.

Stay put in the first, take the best D-end available. Pray for Carriker to fall.
Trade our second third rounder, and maybe the sixth (if the Big Daddy trade fails) to move up in the second to grab someone like Mebane.
Pass rushing end in the first, best fat boy available higher in the second. Try for Weddle in the upper third round.
Great first day.
Don't bet the farm on trying to get into the top 10 for a D-lineman. Although the team sees our needs as "few" this year. That would make one wonder.
