This "must watch" audio aired recently on BBC radio in Wales. It will probably stir up a bunch of ****.
The only question I have is Why didn't it air here in the US? After all, Belafonte is an American.

Yes, because you are ever so much wiser and worldly than an 80 year old man
who has traveled the world and met presidents and kings.

Belafonte only gets air time because he hates Bush and loves murdering dictators that violate basic human rights. If he wasn't such a lefty senile bozo, he couldn't even buy air time.

Belafonte achieved widespread attention (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Belafonte) for his political views in 2002 when he began making a series of comments about President George W. Bush (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_W._Bush) and his Administration, catalyzed by his disapproval of the Iraq War (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq_War).
During an interview with Ted Leitner for San Diego's 760 KFMB, in October 2002, Belafonte referenced a quote made by the American civil rights era icon Malcolm X (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malcolm_X) [5] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Belafonte#_note-4):
<dl><dd>There was two kinds of slaves. There was the house Negro and the field Negro. The house Negroes, they lived in the house with master, they dressed pretty good, they ate good 'cause they ate his food and what he left... In those days he was called a 'house ****er.' And that's what we call him today, because we've still got some house ****ers running around here.</dd></dl>

Age and travel doesn't preclude having really idiotic views. Belafonte is a perfect example.

Well we as a country have long supported violent regimes (like in south america and uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia) - so i'm not sure why we won't listen to him.
