I wouldn't be shocked at all if the Broncos took Jarrett.

Woodley and Gattis would be great value. I personally don't think Jarrett is the type of WR we need, but he could become great. I'm a fan of BC Olineman, so I'd be more than OK with this first day.

I really like Gattis. That would be a great pick!
If we go WR, I want Meachem, but Jarret is good too. Woodley is a high energy guy, cant go wrong with that..

I have seen Jarret in the top 10 on some mocks. But trying to figure out what shanny is up to cant be done.

i hate the jerret pick this guys has bust written all over him he has no speed to get off the jam. i would be pist if we took him in the 1st. besides shanny could draft the kid from central fla who's faster and just as big and we could get him in the late 3rd. i want jarvis moss

The only guy from Central Florida this year is 3" shorter and 15 # lighter than Jarrett and is probably a late second day pick.
I don't think Jarrett fits the Broncos. They need a speed receiver. I would also take Bowe as he is a demon blocker.

i thought the kid from central fla was 6'4 225. anyway jerret is way overated like mike williems was coming out of USC hes nothing more then a product of the system he played in. on the other bronco board two years ago i got slamed for saying it about williems. now im saying the same thing about jerret the kid from UCF beat out marshell for playing time. i think that says somthing about his athleticism. i dont care if hes a 2nd day pick
i really like this draft except with Woodley who is too small at DE for me, and we need DT's.
I like Jarrett, I think he could be like Plaxico Burress. Great hands and he knows how to use his body and arms to shield people away from his body.
Gattis is one of the safeties that I really like in this draft and i'm all for getting an impact player on the offensive line. Some people on this board really like Martin as well. I haven't watched him that much.

I'm very weary of Jarrett, especial have Keyshawn was interviewed on national TV, telling him stay another and work on his body and get stronger. I think he going to struggle against the physical corners in press coverage and doesn't have the speed to beat anyone deep.

I'm a huge USC fan living here in SoCal, so I've watched all of Jarrett's games. To be honest, I'm not sold on him as a first round pick. He's a kind of Jekyll and Hyde character. On his worst days, he's Ashley Lelie without the speed. Can't fight off press coverage to save his life, has trouble fighting for the ball in traffic, etc.
On his best days, though, watch out. He's a gamer. In fact, he reminds me a bit of Rod Smith, except without the massive chip on his shoulder (which is a problem, imho).
So it might all depend on what kind of coaching he gets, and whether or not Heimerdinger wants to take on a project. That said, we all know what kind of history the Broncos have with first round projects. :oyvey:

If you like "this UCF kid" so much, why don't you tell us his name?
As for the mock, the third round picks are fine, woodley is horrible, and jarrett is pretty bad too. I honestly don't see why any team would take Woodley on the first day. He is short, not fast, not particulary strong, appeared to backout of the Senior Bowl, and is largely unimpressive. Dumervil was much more impressive coming out last year and was only drafted in the mid fourth.

Like Jarrett or not, the comparisons between him and Williams aren't valid IMO. In college Williams completely relied on his size and height to get open. Jarrett has legit speed... I'd love the pick at 21.
2 24 (56) L. Woodley DE Michigan nice pick!:D
3 22 (86) J. Gattis S Wake For. great pick!
dont like the rest of that mock at all!:spit:

Jarrett doesn't have "legit" speed. He was able to get open because of the competition in the PAC-10 and who he played for, it whole different speed in the NFL. Watch Cason (who has NFL speed) play him and you will see he doesn't get deep or separation.
Jarrett is a possession receiver currently without the strength. He needs to hit the weight room and put on some muscle.

I've read Roy Hall, WR - Ohio State, ran a 4.35 40 (electronically timed?) at
6'3" 230 lbs. Anyone know much about him?

I think the Broncos can get a pretty good WR in the 2nd or even 3rd round, so I don't know if they really need to take one in the 1st round.

Normally im not for picking a reciever in the first.... BUT... if Bowe is sitting there @21 it would be VERY hard not to take him.

Have you seen Walker play in any games? so far he hasn't impressed the experts.
Hall was not invited to the combine, so his chances are very slim.

Am I missing something? Were you talking about Marshall and Walker? Walker has gotten hardly any publicity. He's a possibility in the 6th but the third would be a horrendous reach.

[QUOTE=Big Guy;1510542]Have you seen Walker play in any games? so far he hasn't impressed the experts.
yes ive seen him play. this kid breaks the jam very well. like i said he beat out marshell for playing time. im looking for vids on him now. after his proday hell be raising up the draft boards. he wasnt healthy this year. and he still had good numbers. this kid is a playmaker. he kind of reminds me rod as far as his wok ethic goes.
Personally many prognosticators are saying that Ted Ginn Jr is starting to slide. I would not have one problem if Denver took a flyer on him with the #21 selection. He adds the speed that we are looking for, can immediately impact us as the 3rd or 4th WR plus he can dominate our return game.

I think Bowe is the second best receiver in the Draft.

Agreed. If Bowe is there at 21, I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see Shanny take him. The experts compare Bowe to Michael Clayton when Clayton came out.....and we all know how bad Shanny wanted Clayton. I would love to have Bowe in orange and blue!

i think walker is the 2nd best reciver in the draft 4.35 -4.32 speed 90 rec 1130 yards. he had no qb and no other threat at WR. this kid is a stud WR. ive seen this kid play. hes better then the kid from LSU by leaps and bounds. i gerentee hes on shannys radar. shanny does draft in pears T.Bell D.Williems i think shanny takes walker with the 2nd 3rd rd pick and it not reaching for him either.
