Here's the reason:
The Jets, Broncos, Seahawks, and Raiders have all shown interest in free agent TE Randy McMichael.
We can eliminate Denver from contention after they signed Daniel Graham. No visits are scheduled yet for McMichael. Jerramy Stevens and Eric Johnson are his competition on the open market.
Denver is just doing what the faders tried earlier on.
When we showed interest in Henry/Graham they also lined up visits with these guys even though they had no intention of signing Henry with Jordan on the roster. They were just stalking our moves like jilted lovers looking to play the game without the bankroll or balls to follow through.

Thats what i figured, but are the Raiders really that dumb? We already have Scheffler and Graham, they can't believe we need another TE.

It's just foreplay. The hard core stuff is what we do to them in regular season.
Ha!

Wouldn't it be funny if Raiders didn't take us seriously and we signed him?

I'd take him if it was a $1-$2M deal. Why not?

We need a long snapper. What's wrong with that? Just curious.

Does he play D line?
If so he would be a good pick up

Does he play D line?
That depends on your definition of D Line play.
If you go by Carl Peterson's, then hell, these 1st day picks are supposed to play DT: Eric Downing, Eddie Freeman, Ryan Sims, Junior Siavi!
By those standards you could play DT for the chefs.
ROFL!

Sh*t, 3 of those 4 guys aren't even in the league any more and Peterson only drafted them the last couple of years.

bring hin in.
We have already ignored our DL in FA, might as well go after another TE playmaker.

Instead of addressing your more pressing needs like...oh, let me see...WIDE RECIEVER...your front office goes out and gets a deep snapper and a linebacker. It must suck to a queefs fan...always playing not to loose.

No he doesn't, but even I'd have a shot if I tried out for the chefs.

So are you saying the Raiders are really our poor gay lovers...LOL

Shanny believes we can NEVER have enough TEs or LBs. For special teams and other reasons. (PS can you say goodbye Alexander and Jackson?)

While a 2 TE set of Graham and McMichael sounds good, it wouldn't be wise to shell out big money for him. I doubt Scheffler has any significant trade value right now. He needs another year under his belt...

Rams agreed to terms with TE Randy McMichael on a three-year contract.
A shocker here after St. Louis used two first-day picks on tight ends in 2006. However, coach Scott Linehan knowns McMike from Miami in 2005, when the inconsistent tight end caught 60 passes, five for TDs. This kills Joe Klopfenstein's keeper value and makes it likely Domonique Byrd will be cut. The Rams will address their run defense issues in the draft.
