The deadline for voting in ROUND THREE is NOON, MONDAY.

(enjoy your weekend)

Here's the deal. We have two dead guys: Dr. Broncenstein and *Conklin.

Each of them gets to "finger" one other player this round. This will be done by PM to me, and the same deadline applies to their "vote" as it does for everyone else.

The victim or victims who are "fingered" (if anyone) will be announced at same time that I announce the results for Round Three.

The victim (or victims) will be considered to have been in the process of being arrested in Round Three, and any votes that they attempted to cast that round will be ignored.

The victim or victims will start ROUND FOUR inside the prison, where they will join The Big Loser. We'll talk about prison conditions more in Round 4. For now, just assume that it's not a pleasant place.

Here, in Round THREE, everyone else votes as normal. In other words, you can cast either one defensive vote, or up to three Tommy Gun Votes. If you don't specify which you are doing in your PM, I will automatically assume that you are voting defensively (i.e. 1 vote).

But here's the BIG EXCEPTION.

Because the Ravioli Family and the Lasagna Family both had members killed in Round Two, all surviving members of those families have immunity from gunfire this round. (But not from being "fingered")

Let's see. What does this mean? It means that the only legal targets for voting this round are those persons who are currently members of the Fettuccini-Alfredo Family.

Specifically, here are the legal targets for your votes this round:

If you get "fingered" by either Dr. Broncenstein or *Conklin...

1. Your Votes do not count in Round Three, no matter how you cast them. Of course, you won't know this until it's too late.

2. You can still be killed by Votes from the other players. (But only if you are a member of the Fettuccini Crime Family). In other words, being fingered does not give you any sort of immunity; nor does it take it away ... this round.

3. If you survive Round 3, You will begin Round 4 in prison. At that time, you will no longer have acess to your Tommy Gun. Nor will you get the defensive bonus for casting a single vote. Nor will you be entitled to Family Immunity etc. etc. etc. I'll explain all the bad stuff later on. Take it from me. You don't want to go there if you can avoid it.

The two victims who get killed here in Round Three WILL be able to give the "finger" to their choice of players in ROUND 4. Likewise, it should be obvious that surviving members of the Fettuccini Crime Family will all have immunity in Round 4 (except for the ones - if any - who get sent to prison here in Round 3).

The deadline for voting in ROUND THREE is NOON, MONDAY.

Here's the deal. We have two dead guys: Dr. Broncenstein and *Conklin.

Each of them gets to "finger" one other player this round. This will be done by PM to me, and the same deadline applies to their "vote" as it does for everyone else.

The victim or victims who are "fingered" (if anyone) will be announced at same time that I announce the results for Round Three.

The victim (or victims) will be considered to have been in the process of being arrested in Round Three, and any votes that they attempted to cast that round will be ignored.

The victim or victims will start ROUND FOUR inside the prison, where they will join The Big Loser. We'll talk about prison conditions more in Round 4. For now, just assume that it's not a pleasant place.

Here, in Round THREE, everyone else votes as normal. In other words, you can cast either one defensive vote, or up to three Tommy Gun Votes. If you don't specify which you are doing in your PM, I will automatically assume that you are voting defensively (i.e. 1 vote).

But here's the BIG EXCEPTION.

Because the Ravioli Family and the Lasagna Family both had members killed in Round Two, all surviving members of those families have immunity from gunfire this round. (But not from being "fingered")

Let's see. What does this mean? It means that the only legal targets for voting this round are those persons who are currently members of the Fettuccini-Alfredo Family.

Well, let's see. How does this usually work? Most of you probably think that there are one or two other persons you can trust. This would be your "core" alliance. Probably 4 or 5 of you are being screwed or deluded right off the top, though.

Then your "core" alliance seeks out a secondary alliance. Now you have somewhere between 4 and 6 in your "secondary" zone of influence. There's at least a 50/50 probablity that one of them is a traitor. And if not now, then they will be turned or bought off as soon as things get dicey.

Of course, with 28 active killers at large, a 4-7 person alliance represents only 1/7 to 1/4 of the total vote in a round. That's not too much comfort, so you almost have to try to find another alliance to coordinate things with.

If you join with another major group, the probablility of treachery now goes up to about 95%. As an alternative, you can try to recruit "free agents." Some of them are legit - - people who were just out of the loop, (or who had their partners killed early) and they'll be more than happy to bond with you. But at least half of them are just wolves in sheep's clothing, sent out by other groups to screw you... or total random psychos, who will, without hesitation, sell you out to the highest bidder at any moment.

Oh, and I should mention that usually, when someone acts as a diplomat - - you know - - attempting to organize alliances into larger groups - - s/he's often got something else in mind. Like herding you all into a kill zone.

So the more people you trust, the more stabs you'll get in the back. Just a matter of math. But if you don't make alliances, you'll be picked off like flies. So it's all a matter of making your group work and disrupting all the others, while never looking like you have any idea of what is going on.

Make sure you practice the "shocked" look. It will come in handy.

My my my, I have quite the story for you players.

A boy is tending a flock of sheep on a hill and gets bored. To alleviate his boredom, he cries "Wolf! Wolf!" This gets the attention of the local villagers, who run up the hill to help drive away the wolf. Initially, they believe the boy's tall tales of driving off the wolf single-handedly, becoming quite angry with the boy when they discover that there was in fact no lupine threat. They sternly admonish him not to cry wolf if there is in fact no wolf, and no danger.

I'm expecting to get quite a significant number of last minute votes. And then I may have to recalculate some of those, depending on who the cops drag away, so it will be hard to post the results before 12:15 or so.
