I read a great story about the Hoyt's, and the father's persistence and dedication to his son. A truly amazing story and to hear all the places they have been, and all the things they have been able to accomplish together is truly up-lifting.

I hope you and Sam will be able to enjoy similar joyous times and will do what I can to help, even if it is just positive thoughts sent your way!

Yeah that other thread made me realize I just dont' hate Falconer as much. Still a lot b/c of all the nagging pms I got from him after I was voted off. I told him to chill b/c it was just a game bro. The he rubbed it in that if he won Old Dude would give him VIP status and that means basically you can post on any of the sub forums, add an avatar, and have access to archives. I just wished Old Dude would have announced this sooner so I would have played harder. I hate TheSportGuru b/c he rubbed his credentials in my face which wasn't cool. He was saying he had tea with the Queen Mum herself. And that she takes her tea with two lumps. I called him a bloody bloke. Oh well being from Liverpool does have it benefits.

Totally and completely depends... 1st time i played it took WAY TOO MUCH TIME... Next time around it wasn't too bad.

From the look at that bow with no pulleys it looks to be a tough long bow and that is hard to hold back. You can hold a compound back easy once you break it there is really no weight on it. Movies give me laughs when guys with compounds start shaking with it drawn back for under a minute I held mine firm and on target for well over 5 several times. Best rush was a doe about a foot from me during muzzle loader season. I couldnt evan blink.

Just generally ...

1. Yes, past winners are eligible. Probably, the only eligibility requirement is that you need to have been a registered member of the Mane prior to 1/1/08. I might even make an exception to that if I could be convinced that the applicant isn't just a shill for some other player. But I'm a hard guy to convince, so don't bother.

Oh, and it would be nice if you are not under an offiicial ban at the time the game starts.

2. I don't want to put up a signup thread too early, because the game won't start for over a month from now and I don't want to try to track down any members who go missing between now & then. When it does go up, I'll try to leave it up for several days or until all the roster slots are filled on a first come first served basis. And I don't know how many roster slots we'll have. Up to 18 is no problem. But I don't think I could handle more than 28. So somewhere's in that range, if we get enough players.

One thing I can do is to send out a PM "head's up" to those who have posted recently on this thread to let them know when the official sign up starts. But don't depend on me, because I might be senile or dead by then.

3. No theme chosen yet. Suggestions are welcome.

4. I am going to try to keep the rules simpler this year. I don't have enough time to answer rules questions 5 or 6 times a day. That said, I will try to come up with one or two innovations in order to keep things from getting too dull or routine.
