View Full Version : Daniel Graham talking money with Hawks
Contract talks between Seattle and free agent Daniel Graham are expected to begin Tuesday morning now that Patrick Kerney is signed.
Interest in Graham has slowed since a false report came out early in free agency that he'd signed with Denver. Oakland may be in the market.

Very true

I siad it in a post a few days ago. Seattle plays in a weak Division and Confrence. Their QB,RB are more established and they have been to the show recently.
So yes they have a slight edge over Denver this year. But Denver has more long term potential than the Seahwaks.
We will get our DE in teh draft. Let's just get the Graham kid signed and see what we can do with Bly being a cry baby.

Graham is just testing his value. If I wasn't concerned about protection for Jay I couldn't care less. This "I will play when I want for who I want" crap is getting old. Teams are paying rediculous salaries...thanks SF for throwing everything out of whack.
I would of loved to see Clement's eyes when he inked the most rediculous deal in NFL history.

I'm not going to make excuses for these professionals.
Rams loss-out played and bailed out by the D otherwise a blowout. Game wasn't as close as score appeared and played a much better game and settling for FG's instead of TD"s almost cost them.
Seattle game-should of won but didn't. Seattle made plays when needed to to win the game.
49ers-overlooked to the playoffs and were beat by a much proven team. Can't look past anyone in the nfl. Again SF made plays when needed and denver did not. Settling for FG's instead of TD's means the game will be determined by who makes more plays in the 4th and that wasn't denver.

Graham will be a seahawk for two reasons....
#1 They have more money.
#2 They throw more passes to the tight end so he will have his wish to play more a role in the passing game. He won't get more than 30 catches in Denver and will have around 50 in seattle.

Have you no shame! This man's career is over. This is where Broncos players go to let their careers die. The only bowl he's ever going to play in is the toilet bowl. He's going from D town to obscurity. You want to put a Broncos player on a witness protection program we send them to Detroit or D Twat.
Poor George! Thrown down the NFL garbage chutes of teams.
You are right. Plummer would have never thrown any interceptions if it wasn't for him and that time when our defense folded like a house of cards. I think I saw a glint in his eye.
Who's taking over for Foster? Pears? He seemed decent last year.
What's the word on Lepsis? I know microfacture surgery is sort of hit or miss.
Pears is a RT who shifted over last year to fill in for Lepsis (says something when Foster was a collegiate LT and he didn't move over), he'll be back to RT next season.
A recent article on here commented on Lepsis' rehab. The surgery went well, he's back working out and they expect him to go full speed by training camp. He's had a microfracture operation before and recouped fine then, I'd expect the same old Lepsis back at LT in '07.
As for Graham, if he's signing for the money he'll go to Seattle. We'll deal, he isn't needed but he would help us take our offense to the next level. If we do lose out on him I wouldn't be surprised if we draft WR on day 1.
It's the methane.

Got this from a different website
http://community.myfoxcolorado.com/b...ming_to_Denver
DANIEL GRAHAM UPDATE:
I talked with Daniel Graham’s agent this morning to determine where talks with the Broncos stood on possibly acquiring his client. Graham’s agent told me, last Saturday afternoon was the last time he’d talked with the Broncos.
According to Graham’s agent, there has been no conversation since. Here’s why! Graham’s agent told me he’s waiting to ascertain what the offer is from the Seattle Seahawks first! Unfortunately though, the Seahawks’ acquisition of Patrick Kearney delayed that.
Graham’s agent said he was hoping to have already known what both the Broncos and the Seahawks are offering by yesterday—obviously that did not occur. So Graham’s agent told me he expects to resume talks with the Seahawks late this morning, adding, he would not be surprised if a deal went down today!

It will probably come down to Graham getting the role he wants in Seattle. They throw to the TE and Stevens has fallen out of favor. Sheffler was just catching on once Jay got the start here. I want Graham for his blocking abilities, but if what he wants is to catch passes, then I say enjoy the rain Dan.

If Bly comes to his senses and doesn't want out, I still have to be happy with Denver getting a pro-bowl corner and a good running back thus far with what limits we expected them to have given the cap situation. Two starters is nice. I'd really like Graham, and when I read, "Denver hasn't talked to him since Saturday." it really doesn't settle good in my stomach. *sigh*
Oh well.

Unless Denver wanted to up their offer, there's been no reason to have talked to him since he left town. There's no need to up the offer if Seattle hasn't even put one on the table yet. Things will start to move in either direction once Seattle puts something on the table and Denver can see if they need to up their offer or not.

All three of the NFC East games were plagued with the 'Modern Broncos' plague - turnovers and poor red zone scoring (not getting it into the end zone). Look at how many picks and fumbles we had in the games ----- equals a loss. Last year was a waste, we barely beat the Raiders, stumbled every other week - couldn't win against Indy - gave up against the Chargers - Made the odds against the Bengals - IN SHORT, we weren't a playoff team last year and in the end it showed.
This year should be much better, depending on 1 big factor: the growth and ability of Cutler in his first full season. I'm not convinced he's going to have a huge year but he will definitely ride the highs and lows much better than Jake Plummer and will be responsible for 2-3 more wins with his gunslinger. I think we are getting him the cast of characters necessary to take this team to the playoffs which I love - NOW LETS SIGN GRAHAM AND SOME MORE DEPTH AT OLINE.

It may be out of our hands. Graham has said he wants to be more of a featured receiver, and he'll get that chance in Seattle as they are letting Stevens walk. In Denver with Scheffler showing a ton of potential as a receiving weapon, the situation will basically be the same for him as it was in New England where he was the road grader and Watson the primary receiver. It may come down to on-field opportunity more-so than money.

I thought I read that they were letting Stevens go...don't know if that means he's a FA or an eventual release. Maybe I'm mistaken, though. Espn.com doesn't even have Jerramy Stevens listed on their roster.
EDIT: OK, he's a 5 year vet. He was a 2002 1st rounder just like Graham, so that should mean his contract has expired since most 1st round deals are for 5 seasons.
