As per PFT:
BUCS EXPECTED TO ANNOUNCE SIGNING OF GARCIA
Our friends and PewterReport.com and WDAE 620 tell us that the Buccaneers are holding a press conference at 1:00 p.m.
It's widely believed that the purpose of the presser is to announce the signing of quarterback Jeff Garcia. The team has characterized the event as "big", per PewterReport.com.
Stay tuned.
Now lets see if Plummer rethinks the retirement thing and screws us out of picks and his bonus money since the Bucs wont need a QB anymore. Houston then could definitely just wait out his release.

I just hope he does something quickly and sticks to it so i don't have to hear his name ever again. I hope if Jake takes the just cut me routine to get to Houston Shanny plays hardball and keeps him on the roster. If Houston wants him that bad give up the fourth rounder. I definitely think Jake and Kubiak are working together and this is a ploy by Jake.

And I think that's his strategy, noone wants to trade for a guy who may just retire and then they're out of a pick. So he can keep claiming his retirement until someone comes along and says they'll take him that he wants to play for. There's gotta be a way to control him if the Broncos have his rights, he shouldn't be able to do this.
And watch us only get like a 6th now for him.

I'd hold onto him and let him play out his contract on the bench or in street clothes every week if it came down to that. No one sticks it to Mike and Jake will find he won't either.

They should make Plummer play out his contract on the special teams squads. Kickoff coverage... What do they call it, the wedge crusher or something like that? That should be Plummer now. I wonder if the FO would really have it in em to FORCE his retirement after this or would they "be the bigger men"?

I can't blame Jake for pulling the power play, ultimately I think he'll end up in Houston as well and Denver will receive a pick.

Well the Buccs just announced they've reached an agreement with Garcia so Plummer's little ploy has worked so far. I really, really hope he retires and thats the end of it. I can't imagine disliking him much more but if he now unretires I hope Shanny F@#$s him.

Well, I guess this all goes out the window... now this thread dies and it's resumed in the Plummer traded thread.
