Not in Chefs land this it King Carls vacation time Ha!

I'd like to see Jake wind up in Houston with Kubes. As much as I hated his play I dont guess I have any ill will towards the guy.

Heard the same rumor. Tampa's 4th coming to us as part of a three team swap?

This day has been crazy and dramatic.

Wish we could get these things lined up.

I will say one thing... Plummer just said he had no interest in retiring and then today Scheftner breaks that he is thinking of it. Scheftner knows his broncos info. I wonder if this a ploy to go to Houston?

Pretty stupid if you ask me... I think he would have almost a better chance to succeed in TB where they will have the Caddie fired up, Calvin Johnson and a host of solid receiving threats for him to use.

If we still get a 4th out of Tampa Bay/Houston......I am all for it.

Me 2. That would guarantee us atleast two picks when Denver plays Houston this season.

Here's the supposed deal in the works.
carr + 5th rd to TB
TB 3rd to Houston
Houston sends 3rd to Denver for Plummer

Remember this is rumor from a message board which one step above PFT.:D

That deal would work with Tampa still getting a QB and Plummer probably more happy goign to Houston since all but guaranteed a starting spot and reunited with Kubiak. So it's still possible the Broncos could still getting a draft pick of some sort.

I honestly don't see why Tampa would be interested in Carr. He is basically the same thing as Simms.

Personally, I think Plummer is a coward now.

Needless to say, I hope this deal works out.

Jake, sack up buddy... at least for a couple more years.

I am not surprised that there is little loyalty from the players toward fans.

All the best Jake! Thanks for giving all that you had to give when you played for us. Griese should watch your game tapes.

We weren't loyal to him, and neither was the FO. I hold no ill will towards Plummer.

Houston sends 3rd to Denver for Plummer

So, Houston gives up a third, a fifth and their own starting QB to get a QB five years older who can't beat out a rookie?

BRILLIANT!

I dont know what the deal on this is, I caugt the ass end of the radio conversation concerning it.

What I do know is Houston is looking to stockpile picks, not get rid of them which is why a deal straight up between Houston and Denver hasnt materialized.

Houston may be shopping Carr to Tampa for a couple of picks, give one of those picks to Denver for Plummer, but the net result will be more picks for Houston than they started out with.

Thats the only way this deal will go down IMO.

And from what I understand, if Houston does not get Plummer, they will retain Carr's services this season since it is unlikely Garcia makes his way down to Houston.

That is some weird math you texans use. Houston only gave up a fifth and Carr for Plummer. A goof trade since Kubey knows Carr cannot get it done, and he knows what Plummer can do.

Qb and 5th > 3rd

That 3rd is used for Plummer

Total outlay by Texans is poor QB and fifth, nothing more (they got that 3rd from the initial trade).

Sundquist and Shanny must have splitting headaches by now. It's so much more logical Jake would prefer to go to Houston. He's from Arizona, and he would walk into a system that he knows as completely as he ever will.

I think the biggest monkey wrench is Garcia the oddball, not that Jake can't give him a run for his money.

Send Jake to Kubiak. It makes since. I'd be happy to get a 4th or 5th and not to just get nothing.

They give up Carr and a fifth for Plummer...I don't see why it is that stupid. Plummer has produced very well and won for Kubey, conversely Carr improved but was still a loser for him. Basically all he is doing is giving a fifth for a QB he feels much better about. Thats an easy trade.

You have to be very wary about what comes out of the Houston media and fan boards. Many in the Houston media are invested in running Carr out of town much the same way some of the Denver media wanted Plummer run out of town.

Some outspoken folks in Houston would think trading Carr for a mini-helmet would be a great deal since they despise him so.

I seriously think the Houston FO isn't so stupid as to make such a deal, particularly since they can move Carr for a higher draft pick whenever they want and get Plummer as soon as he's released/retired.
