BRONCOS HOLD KERNEY HOSTAGE?

Bill Williamson of the Denver Post reports that the Broncos are trying to get defensive end Patrick Kerney signed before he leaves the building.

Kerney is scheduled to fly to Seattle on Saturday.

The Broncos' new defensive line coach, Bill Johnson, spent six years with the Falcons.

I hope we don't overpay for him. I also hope we give Graham the same treatment.

DE is strongest part of this draft this year why not go that route. If we sign Kerney do you realize in 08 9 or 10 of our 11 starters on D will be 30 or older? We need to start youth movement

I think Kerney is a solid guy who has some years left. He is very good against the run and can put solid pressure on the QB. Nonstop motor too, I don't know why people don't want him here. He would be an upgrade over what we have.

I would like Kerney, especially when you consider no DE drafted is a guarantee to be a contributer or develop into a good player. With Kerney, you pretty much know what you're getting and is still only 30. With a rookie, you don't really know what you're going to get.

I want him here but, I don't want to majorly overpay though.

You have to make a play in FA when you no longer have any players remaining from your 2003 draft.

We will draft plenty of D in this draft.....I can FEEL it!

Because LARD ass writes it, does it mean it is true? I think we have had enough crappy reporting to go around today.
