The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports that free-agent running back Ahman Green will visit the Denver Broncos.

Green, 30, was originally drafted by the Seahawks in 1998. He was traded to the Packers after two seasons, and has been the starter in Green Bay ever since.

He hit the market a year ago, but took a one-year deal to stay with the Packers due in large part to his ongoing rehab from a serious leg injury. He rushed for 1,059 yards in 14 games last season

More rumors.

I'd take him over Lewis

I don't care for Green that much unless comes pretty cheaply. Has a lot of mileage and fumbling issues I believe.

He's past his prime, but if he came at a good price, it would be worth bringing him in.

He seemed to fix the fumbling problem for a little bit, and he lit the league on fire a few years ago. But I think the fumbling problem came back and he has had some injuries too.

He was on Sirius NFL a few weeks ago. Said he wants a 2 year deal and wants to be a Bronco. He said a few other teams, but I forgot.

He couild fit in a 2 back system and allow Denver do draft a project in round two or three.

I would rather have him over Lewis, but I would rather have neither.

Draft a RB!

So this is the true version of the story.

Trent Green was seen leaving a plane from Denver to Florida.

If he wants to be a Bronco then I would love to sign him. Maybe offer him a 4 year 12 million dollar contract with 4 million signing Bonus.

Sign him and draft a rookie stud to help them learn...

Sign Green on the cheap and draft a RB. I really don't think Green is looking for a big payday and I like him much better than Lewis.

I would much rather have Green over Jamal Lewis. I think Green has more gas left in the tank and he also catches a bunch of balls out of the backfield.

C'mon guys, how often do aging RBs ever make a difference on a new team?

Don't overpay Mike!

Henry was around 25 when he signed with the Titans.

Giving any kind of major SB to an old RB is nothing short of kicking yourself in the nuts.

My co-worker is a packer fan and I asked him what he thought about Green. He told me that Denver can open big enough holes in order to find the football that Green fumbled....

Spend the time and money on Jones from Chicago... he would be a better fit

It's not a rule yet. Just a topic the Players Union and league are discussing.

We as fans can't control what the players do on and off the field. I just know that Jamal could be more of a power back near the goal line.

I can't understand for the life of me why you'd want either of those two bums. Green is a better option than those two put together...but he's still no Travis Henry.

Now Travis Henry I'm buying..the Bills were foolish to let him go and now, so are the Titans.

Not with the bone spurs he has..his power has been dimished and he can no longer make the one cut and go.

Id take Henry, or Green in a heartbeat.

I like Mcgahee on the field, but off it, he is a punk, do we want that in Denver?

He had them removed last month. Should be 100% for camp. I just want to see a broncos back go forward after contact and not five yards backwards like Tater did/does.

I'm unconvinced in him being 100% ever again.....too many miles and add in the baggage, it's not worth the risk IMO.

Green, T.Jones, T. Henry and C. Brown are the only vet RB's we should persue. Lewis is old, tired garbage and we definitely don't need a guy like McGahee in the locker room.

Thomas Jones would be my first pick, but he would cost a pick.As long it isnt a high pick. Then
#2Green
#3Henry
#4Rhodes
#5Jamal
#6Dillon
#7McGahee(dropped because of draft pick and tude)
#8Brown

I dont understand what you'd want with Rhodes, Jamal Lewel, Dillon (did you see him run last year, he looked like my grandpa) or the ever fragile and unimpressive Chris Brown. Call me crazy, but I think Mike Bell is arguably the most underrated Bronco. He was a rookie, but clearly should the best vision of our backs (look no further than the 99 yard drive against cinci.) He runs hard, breaks tackles, and has the ability to find the whole. His problem is consistency but he's never played a game bell to bell (excuse the pun) and he was only a rookie.

I wouldn't mind bringing A. Green, provided they don't overpay for him.

But he does fit the system w/ his one-cut running style but How much mileage he has left in those legs - not many.

Personally, I'd day go after Willis. But who knows.

It's just a visit and maybe he will visit more teams.

People always said we could stick our grandma in there and they would run for a 1000:) I like M. Bell alot, people forget he was undrafted and undrafted player take alot more time to develop. If he did that good his first year I expect him to make a bigger jump next year, but we still need depth.Personally I just want a vet back there.

Green would be a nice weapon especially if we utilize him in the screen and dump off game.

Yeah, I'm a giant M. Bell supporter, but having a vet in case Mike doesn't improve is vital. With Tatum gone, Mike is the most experienced back on the roster and he was an undrafted rookie last season.

A. Green has good hands 4 dump offs and can RAC with some flare. I say pick him up what could it hurt. He fits our system.

I woke up in the middle of the night with the solution to our RB problems on my lips:

Trade places with Houston. In return we give them Plummer and maybe a # 6 pick. That would benefit Houston as well as us.

Then work a deal with Cleveland -- give them our #2 and maybe a #4 and next year's first round pick --

That would allow us to move up and grab the future Hall of Fame RB Adrian Petersen that will catapult Denver into the super bowl within 2 years.

Face it. We all want Petersen -- don't we? Everyone has been shuffling and whining about why we can't have him.

So why not do what it takes to make it happen?

We should only do that deal if we can't get Stroud and Henderson from Jacksonville for Jake and that 6th rounder.
